We have USAA - $792 a year for our MCS. But - we are older than you, also have a multi car discount...

Being under 25, your rates will be higher no matter if you have a clean record or not....that's just life unfortunately...

Your rate is also going to depend heavily on where you live so the quotes you're seeing here, even if they are in your age range, may not apply where you live.

The difference between insuring my car in NJ vs. PA was incredible.

I'm in So Cal (expensive insurance place) and was quoted somewhere around 530 for six months (500 deductible) from Farmer's Insurance.

To give you an idea of what Farmer's thinks of the Mini, this is just $50 more expensive than my Subaru Impreza AWD L Wagon, and $200 less than the G35 sports coupe. Woo hoo!

Hmmm... about $700 for 6 mos. With a clean record for over 30 years. Must be the Fairfield Cty. Conn. area. Jealous indeed...

Atlanta has some pretty bad drivers. I must admit. I like to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. I believe we in Greenville, SC have it good.

3 hours to the beach
2 hours to Atlanta
1.5 hours to Charlotte
1 hour to the Mountains

Twisties, Ocean, Mountains and Gridlock, what more could you ask for?

All of these include some interesting driving conditions within 3 hours at the MAX!

actually it's New Jersey. A lot of insurance companies won't even cover the entire state of NJ. Bad drivers and lots of theft.

Age 42, multi-line discount, safe driver, about $800/yr in San Francisco.

It's a State Farm policy that isn't the least expensive but I've had great service and can enjoy the multi-line discount with my home policies. San Francisco is very expensive but a little bit of good news is that my rate actually went down $40 because of the low claim numbers for the MINI during the first full production year. I don't know if this was just a State Farm thing or for all carriers.

WOW!!! This insurance sounds really cheap. I live in New Jersey which is one of the worse states for car insurance. My MCS is on order so I don't know the cost of the insurance, but if it is $66 a month or anything close to that neighborhood I'll be thrilled.

I'm a male 32 years old, married, own a house, I live in New Jersey and have NO accidents or tickets, ever and I'm paying $1,800 a year on a 2003 BMW M3 and I also pay $1,700 a year on a 2002 Corvette Z06.

Mine will be about $560 for 6 months, or just $50 more than my '97 Dodge Intrepid.

I think i'm the worst in the whole forum!!

I live in Atlanta. Came to USA on 2001, got my license end of 2001. move to Atlanta 2002 april.

23, My MCS quote is $1094 full coverage(not very full) for 6 months from Progressive.
This is sucks! They take advantage on me.

-----------------------------

I used to live in NJ, in the Hudson county area, I had NJM insurance which was pretty good insurance, at the end of each year, id get like 250.00 dollars back, which was good.... i used to have a saturn, which went from 2300.00 a year at 21 years old to 1100.00 a year for full coverage by the time i was 27.... If any of you live in NJ, or PA try to get NJM insurance. I work for a company that offers NJM insurance as one of its perks... So try to find out if your employer offers NJM. Can inquire thru HR.... NJM offers really good rates and they give you a percentage of it back each year on top of constantly lowering their rates each year- course depending on how old you are. And they dont raise your premiums just because you put in an insurance claim.... so they are pretty good.... but you gotta have a clean lisence and have it for at least 3 years.

I live in Long island now, and got dropped from NJM cuz i no longer live in NJ, but i have state farm now... and for my mini, it costs me about 1600 and change for full coverage... and thats with the multi car discount and im 29 now, no tickets or accidents or anything....
