First of all, I?d like to say I really enjoy this site because of everyone?s participation. I?ve ordered my MC CVT Indi Blue with white roof and its production date is 9/6. My dilemma is that I keep thinking of how nice the Chili Red is and if I should change the color. So, if you guys could help me out, I?m taking a poll and would like to know which color you would pick with the white roof and why? Thanks!

Indi Blue was my second choice. It is a beautiful color! I went with red because it is classic. Most of the original rally cars were red/white. Good luck, it is a tough choice.

Well, although I do like the blue, red has always been my favorite, so my MCS, "Tabby" (short for Tabasco) is Chili Red. I thought about having the Union Jack put on her white roof, but opted for the sun roof instead. Red sure is noticed, and that sold me! But, no matter which color you choose, you will be noticed!

I too, was torn between a Chili Red Cooper and an Indi Blue one. Standing in the showroom...I saw a red one blast by...it looked so awesome. I was hoping to break my string of buying red cars...but I didn't. I love the Chili Red on my Cooper...my friends who have seen Indi Blue ones say that the red is cleaner looking, not to mention, more attention-getting. LOL. Tough decision. And as deering said, the red is a classic mini color, so you can't go wrong with holding true to heritage. Hope this helped some.

I chose Chili Red for My MCS. I would have chosen Indi Blue if it was available in the S, but it wasn't at the time so I went with Red. I think you have come to a tough decision. They're both awesome colors. You should consider what accessories you are getting, which color is sportier? What look are you going for? Hope that helps.

I chose chili red over the indi blue (and all other colors for that matter) because it suits my personality! My two favorite colors are red and black, so naturally my color choice is the red with the black roof! I saw a really good picture in the member gallery that made the Indi blue look REALLY hot!!! It had a black roof and i'll tell you what...... I almost changed my mind right then and there! (i also saw a velvet red that looked just as amazing!!) But I decided to stick with chili red/black because it suits me better!

And when it comes down to it, Our opinions don't really matter because it's YOUR baby, and none of us can tell you how you should get it! It's your choice, and your choice alone! **unless you have a significant other to help you decide**

p.s. if you want your car to be a REAL attention grabber, it is also proven that the color red stands out more than most colors! It is more likely a person will turn to look at a bright Chili red(or liquid yellow) car than a cosmos black or indi blue..... so if you wish to make more of a statement with your car... you may wish to go with the chili red

I wanted the Indi in an 'S' model, but it wasn't available at the time. But I think the Indi blue with the white roof, white mirrors, white bonnet stripes, and white wheels, looks so damn good. And then throw in the white/clear tail lights. Boo yeah. The last time I was at miniusa.com (Ithink it was) there was a perfect representation of that color combination. Although it's only the Cooper model.
I think that's really the only color that I would get a white roof with.
But then those are just a few of my opinions.
Cheers,

My original choice was the Red; but then I started looking at interior offerings. The combination I liked best (the sport seats with the blue leather inserts), wasn't available (MCS) with a red car. But it looks GREAT on the Indi Blue (w/white roof, mirrors, wheels).

Soooo... I'm still up in the air. When they call me for the REAL order, then I'll bite the bullet (and maybe they'll have more options for "S" interiors!)

Minijo, that was my dilemma when ordering, but I went with the Indi Blue with white roof and white 5-spokes. I picked up a week ago, and absolutely love it. I've got the bonnet stripes too, and the whole look is fantastic. Yep, take a look at MINIUSA's website for pictures of their accessories, and there's a few good pictures there that really show off the look. As soon as I can borrow a digital camera, I'll take some pictures and post them! The deciding factor for me was that the Indi Blue is a metallic color that really shines and has depth (particularly on overcast days and at night), something missing on the nonmetallic Chili Red. Just my preference, though! I've seen a few Chili Reds running around town, and they are pretty cool too!

Minijo,

I hate to tell you this... it is too late to change your color if your production date is Sept 6th. In fact, it was probably too late a couple of weeks ago. I like Indi Blue... that's what my wife and I ordered.

Oh man, I wrestled with this same decision for almost a month. I loved the Indi Blue and the Chili Red more than any of the other colors. The Indi Blue looks so smooth and classy. Plus, the Indi Blue is metallic. On the other hand, the Chili Red is just plain hot looking. It just jumps out at you. Also, red is the classic color for the rally racing mini's. I ended up choosing the Chili Red for the reasons I just stated. But, do consider that a sporty car like the MINI in Chili Red stands out a lot more to police than an Indi Blue S! So, if you love to speed and don't want to attract attention then avoid the Chili Red.

My production date is 9/13 and I just called the dealer today to see about changing from chili red w/white roof to pepper white w/black roof. He said it was too late. I would have to cancel my order and re-order the car, which would mean another month's wait.

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate everyones reply. Well, by a few replies stating that it's too late to change my color is good and bad. Good that I don't have to struggle by making a choice any longer. So, I'll stick with the Indi Blue, although I still love the Chili Red. Now, I'll have to find some bonnet stripes in the Orange County area since they were only an option for the MCS.

All my cars are red. So I'm rather bias. I feel:

Red = Sexy. Always has always will!
Red also goes means sporty in many other roadsters. It also says, "STOP! LOOK! CHECK ME OUT!" I feel.

And, well... I've noticed that TYPE A Personalities like Red. I'm not saying they are aggressive, rude or bad drivers. TYPE A means "not shy at all!"

It all depends on your personality. Actually, even though I own red cars the inside of my home is done in blue tones. So I like both colors.

But I've decided to go with the Red Mini -- so everything in the garage coordinates. It's a girl thing!

You'll love the Indi Blue!

We wrestled between the British Racing Green and the Indi Blue, both with white roof. Finally settled on the Indi Blue and have not been disappointed. I really like the way it looks all shiny clean and with the sun coming in at an angle so you can see the reflections in the deep blue colour.

Anyway you look at it, you'll be driving a MINI, so life isn't bad at all.

I had the same delemma. I switched from Chili Red to Indi Blue back to Chili Red. I 've had my baby for three weeks now and LOVE the Chili Red. The Indi blue is really nice too but there is just something about the attention you get with the Chili Red. I love it! I highly recommend it if your goal is to show off your girl as much as possible!

Hey, I did the exact opposite! I had my red on order(white hood, mirrors, spoke wheels)when I started having doubts. The main reason was that I've seen three minis around town and they were ALL red. Luckily, I was able to change my color to Indy Blue, plus a few more additions- sport seats, Union Jack. The reason I could change so easily is because I don't even have a prodution date yet. My car won't be here until March or April.Bummer! But I'm sure it will worth the wait.

I had a hard time deciding the color. I really liked the blue the most, but my old car that I traded in was a royal blue (just a shade or two lighter than the indie blue). I have a rule that two cars in a row can not be the same color, and the car before that one was light metallic blue. So to narrow the colors, I figured, I like them all, so get one that is not an additional cost. I have the red and love it.
