R50/53 Antenna Stolen
Antenna Stolen
I noticed today, that my stubby antenna has gone missing.
I don't know who took it, but I'm going to go walk around every car on my block, and if they took my antenna their going to have a couple of flats tomorrow morning.

FWIW, there was a thread here a few years ago about someones stubby getting stolen, so the OP went and stole the stubby off another MINI. It's not cool it got stolen in the first place, but it's like custom tire valve stem caps--all kinds of people take them, so taking someone elses doesn't make it right.
yea, that sux. I can't believe that someone would just jack the stubby for their own MINI. It's only about $20 on ebay.

Can any car use the stubby's, because I know of one MINI that lives in my neighborhood, but other than that it could be anyone else. The kids on my street could of taken it as well, but I just don't know why would anyone take something thats not theirs. I've had it for over a year now, and it just sucks that I have to pay $30 for another M7 stubby.
Making flats at their own home... sheesh... these damn kids don't know anything about prankin' anymore...
Get one of those little tools that take the valve core out of their tires, then put the caps back on. First bump and those caps rupture, then it's a nice controlled depressurization out somewhere else, far more inconvenient.

thats BAD news right there
Dude, giving them flats ain't cool. I mean, they'd have flat tires right there at the convenience of their own home! So when my dog wants something for keeps, he just marks it
then its his. No questions asked, i just don't want it back
So just mark your stubby, no one's going to take it if you do it right
Some of the baseball players do that with their batting helmets, they are just covered with pine tar - stays sticky for a good long time. No one's going to grab your stubby if it is sticky or smelly or covered with razor wire or [use you imagination].

Go to a honda dealer and pick up one of those, I think they're 24 bucks brand new.
I've got a Stubby that comes standard on a Honda Fit. It's a tad longer then the one that most MINIs use, but I like.
The oddest thing I had stolen was one of my FOOL68 vanity plates that I used in Virginia. Fortunately, I was in the process of moving out of the state, but still. I had to report it stolen, and then tap dance around not orderring a replacement for the 1 week I was still down there for last year. How dumb do you have to be to steal a vanity plate... they've got to be much easier to track down.

Eye for an eye i always say. When I bought my car it had no antenna so I was like I want that one. (off of another car) and he went ahead and took it. Its a lot sturdier and smaller. Looks really nice.
Bad Karma
Retaliation isn't the way to go, unless you get Vinny "The Blade" or Jimmy "The Squirrel" to break a leg or make 'em sleep with da fishes. LOL, Just kidding everyone!
Don't respond to bad Karma with more bad Karma! besides, doing so is just plain wrong and goes against everything MINI!
I'd just get another one and see if someone can etch the last 4 numbers of your VIN on it for you, that way you can identify it for sure. Then Loctite it when you install it.
...I guess I better do that my self.

I'd bet a dollar to your donut
I'd bet a dollar to your donut that kids took it....same for that missing vanity plate that probably hangs in a kid's bedroom now.
Back when I lived in VA I lost all my plain Jane ol' valve caps. Yes, they were metal, but just plain otherwise.
One night a kid came a knockin' on the door. Excuse me sir, I stole your valve caps and they are in this bag if you would like them back. I'm sorry sir. He had a big plastic bag full of assorted caps.
Mom was standing in the driveway and returned my wave a bit sheepishly. They were working their way down the street. Parenting ain't dead....amen.
