Yay!!!! I picked up my car on Saturday - I was barely able to control my shaking I was so excited. My husband and I drove to Memphis on Saturday in a 1-way rental to pick up the car - got the dealer about 20min early and took delivery. Stayed the night after putting 90miles (started out with 10) in Memphis on the new baby...in the morning visited Graceland on the way home and then motored on. Yay! Great Labor day weekend for me :smile:

So timeline in case people are wondering (through Roadshow in Memphis):
Deposit in April
Ordered July 10th
Production scheduled for 8/9, but was 8/2
Docked stateside 8/21
Delivered to dealer 8/27
Took delivery 8/31

I love my car!!! I love the power and the sound it makes...vroom, baby!

Congrats!! WOW that's a long wait. I placed an order for an MCS weeks ago but had to back out 'cause I could not stand the long wait (approx 3 months). After two weeks of nonstop shopping I finally found and sealed the sale of the MCS of my choice in color and options, reasonable price too. Four more days and I will soon be getting my hands on my MINI COOPER S. I will be driving it across the country to bring my baby home. Anyone wants to join me on the road. Florida to SoCal Sept 9. 2002.

A long wait, but worth it. And well, think of it like this...

It's less than 9 months of pregnancy waiting for a real baby to arrive;and, I bet you never had morning sickness either?
