Rotors?

Hey all had a bad thing happen in the MINI. The rear caliper seized on it. Yes I tried the TSB for the parking brake, but it didn't work. I tried lubing the caliper pins and everything. Well obviously I need to replace my rear brakes now (it was pretty bad) I was wondering if anyone has used the Powerslot slotted rotors. I have used them on a couple of my previous cars but I didn't know if anyone has used them on the MINI's. can anyone shed some light on some decent rotors for a decent price?

you can check out the texas speedworks rotors, 199 for fronts and backs, stock size and slotted, Ive tracked my car and I love these rotors, only issue is high carbon content causes some light rusting. Im solving that by painting the hubs.

Rotors are basic for the MINI.

Front or rear, the plain stock rotors are fine and available for a decent price.

Some areas offer a MINI or BMW club discount on parts.

Just upgrade the brake pads for better performance.

I've got a BBK up front, but I'll be switching to the Texas Speedwerks rotors when my stockers wear out. It's only a bit more $$$ and looks very nice. Gas slotted too!

The Ate PremiumOne stotted rotors are also very cost-effective... and nicely painted. Ate made the OEM calipers on my R52...

MINI Brakes

I recommend any pad that contains a ceramic compound as it radically minmizes dust. The braking is just as effective at least on the street, but the dust is obiously lessened.

My Ate rotors and Carbotech Bobcat pads worked GREAT at the Dragon this week!

I'm having a strange creaking noise from the right rear... I think I may have an issue with the calipers. Did you have any noise before the seizer?
