Budget aero look

I love the aero look but not the price.Got these parts over the counter at Keeler Motors in Lathem NY. So far the voting is split, my wife liked the old look better until the parts were on the car. The upper grill was direct bolt on but the bottom grills tabs did not fit the original slots so mods had to be done. Lost the S on the back of the car a while back due to a towel drying accident but the kids called it the superman car so this was fitting.

Yep, I had this on my 04 way back in the day. There is a good write up on here somewhere about how to trim the bottom part to fit.

Love the look. Makes the car more aggressive without spending an arm and a leg.

The piece on the bumper covers tabs are in the wrong place to fit the original slots. I had to mark for the new grill and cut identical slots. I drilled holes in the ends of the new holes and cut out the middle waste. The grill snapped right in with a little persausion. Whole job took about 31/2 hours including removing bumper cover and reassembly.

Looks good dude. I'll be doing mine this week. What's the trick to removing the bolts on the upper stock grille. They seem to want to just keep spinning. I'm thinking I need to hold something in place while turning the bolt but I'm not sure what. With all the plastic stuff, I don't want to break anything.

I think I'm making this more difficult than it should be.

Those nuts are a real pita. That part is stronger than it looks. Push out from the back while using a 1/4" socket drive to loosen the nuts.

Looks like the bottom grille is sticking out a bit on the left side (right side, if sitting in car).

The whole grill does stick out more than the original but is actually even on both sides. the shadow makes it look different.

You can cure that with a little trimming or dremel work

Yep. It can sit flush. That's why it's taking me a while to get the bottom one on.
