I've seen every color combo except CR/CR. What does everyone think?

 

i have seen a couple on the road
they look GREAT!

taht said, i think the spirit of the mini requires a diff color roof, but thats just my opinion :smile:

CR/CR is fine if you have some contrast from the grilles or mirrors and such.
Just make sure your wheels aren't red too.

A bit of a speeding ticket magnet some owners tell me. I wouldn't know- I have invisible IndyBlue.

I think a CR/CR looks nice specially in a MCS. Tinted windows and chrome mirror caps will add to the look.

However, CR/CR MINIs risk to blend and look too much like older Honda Civic Hatchbacks and at the end of the day what makes the MINI is the contrasting white or black roof mostly unavailable in other cars.

 

cooperforus is correct..i think same color body./roof on a mini makes it look plain jane..then again its my opinion

and bout red being ticet magnet..naaah..its how u drive....yellow is more dangerous..though not the stupid mini yellow

a ducati or ferarri yellow is trouble

 

I once saw a stunning CR/CR w/aero kit and sunroof. The those added black elements added so much!

Red on red looks ugly. The whole point of the MINI is the contrasting roof. IMHO.

I read that 90% of all MINI's have a contrasting roof, I kind of wanted to be in
the 10% group so I wouldn't see my MINI somewhere else. I was also going on
the theory that a single colored MINI without a sunroof could be built and shipped
quicker because they wouldn't have to paint it. Maybe I'm delusional. I just got
a 1/18 scale DS/B MINI S diecast model from MINI and it does look pretty cool.
My order is for a DS/DS MCS but I still have time to change the color.

 

I happen to disagree with Ants and Red03Minis, but I guess I'm biased :smile: YOu can never have too much RED...

i dont thnk the roof color has anything to do with how quickly you get the car

if ur gonna get the same color roof/body then DS is the only one i think looks great!

I think CR/CR is an excellent choice! (having ordered it myself...!)

I went for this colour combination because I saw CR/W with white viper stripes and thought the white roof spoiled the look.

I've been on the lookout for CR/CR for four months and haven't seen even one 'in the flesh'.

from my office window i can see 5 minis now

no prob kirsty, it happens here sometimes

 

I love the CR color, it's one of the few reds that I like on a car, and the Cooper looks fantastic in red. But the same body/same roof in red does look a mite plain! Just saw one on the road and it didn't even register at first that it was a Mini!

If you do go with same body/same roof you gotta get some kind of accents going, like the aero kit spoiler etc. Maybe a different kind of stripe from cooperflags, if you want to be really original, or go with black roof and black stripes. Be sure to tint the windows. I've never seen that in person, but personally I like red/white better. It just screams I'm a Mini and I'm great!
