R50/53 Covered Bridge Tour in the Philadelphia Inquirer!!!
What a great article! I am so pissed that I couldn't make it. (last minute family activit) It was actually hard for me to look at all of the pics cause I really planned on attending! Anyway, I am glad that everything went well!
THAT IS SO COOL!!!
Congratulations. Even koolmini's license plate is there! Our Litchfield CT meet caused such a stir that I was wondering if a blurb would end up in the Litchfield Enquirer, which is usually pretty starved for interesting news.
I don't live down there, though, so I didn't keep an eye out for it.

>>very cool. do you know if the story is in all editions or just the Bucks Co. one?
It is in the Local section of the editions outside the Philly area (e.g., Harrisburg). Those papers only have b&w photos...

Why do I have the feeling like I am the only one on MCO that has YET to attend a MINI-Meet?
It appears that everyone involved, whether it was the car owners, tag-alongs or the spectators had an awesome time. How many times do you read in a paper where a car 'club' comes to town and brings smiles to everyone around? Not often.
Major props to Kim and everyone involved in making what will probably be the most famous MINI-Meet of the year what it was!

>>Great article - how did you get it arranged?

Well, not all of the information was competely accurate. The reporter was a good sport, though. She rode in one of our cars (Tony's) up until the ice cream stop.
Craig (Pocket_Rocket) invited the paper to our meet. They heard 60 MINIs and couldn't resist coming.

An email from the photographer tipped me off that there might be a photo of our event on their website. I'm posting it here, but also copying to our gallery as it will disappear from the Inquirer site in a few days. ENjoy!!
