at least, you could still order an 03. The $24 price increase for 04's is a little deceptive, the increase on my lightly optioned Cooper would be $254. Combine this with loss of the $350 discount I'm getting and running out of time at the bank for 3.99 financing and an 03 made sense for me. There are a few changes for 04 I'd like to have but I'll manage without them. Final order Chile Red/W Cooper with premium package, spoiler, chrome bumpers and 16" white wheels. Should get the tracking number tomorrow. I may be wrong but I get the feeling I'll get it pretty quick if for no other reason than it's time for building the 04's.

I'm glad I can't change anything anymore....the possibilities are endless.

Congrats on finalizing your order. What week is your build scheduled? It will take 4-6 weeks after construction for delivery. Personally, we prefer the BRG as it does not oxidize as quickly as red does, but Red is a bigger smile factor. Of course, it also attracts the eyes of the highway patrol faster too, but we're sure you drive conservatively. LOL

Hi,

The color was the hardest thing. After thinking it over and looking at various pictures on the net, I went with red. I have two red vehicles now and oxidation is no problem if you appy a little wax now and then. As small as the MINI is this should not be a problem, even for my 60 year old body. I wanted the car to be more visible to other drivers also. You're right though, it's sometimes referred to as "arrest me red". I do drive conservatively because, and I hate to admit this, my reflexes aren't as good as they used to be. I still think BRG is a beautiful color, along with yellow and most of the other colors. I'd like to have one in each flavor.

I'll send you an e-mail tomorrow if I find out the build schedule.

Robert,
I am so happy for you getting your order in. You did great getting the 3.99%.

and I agree, the color IS the hardest choice. I am also getting the Chili Red / White. I've never owned a red car before.
I love your quote "arrest me red"

well, it won't be long now and you will keep busy in the Owners Lounge!!!

Pebbles,

Red is hard to beat, I think we'll both be happy. I think I'm gonna get a flag for the sunroof on my car. Cooperflags.com has some good looking graphics. I originally wanted the Union Jack but after seeing Old Glory on a red/w MINI with sunroof I think I'll go for it.
Hope to be in the Owners Lounge tomorrow.

BYE
