I dont think that the mini he is talking a bout here is a JCW . Since he said that "This Mini or a 03-04 JCW" I honestly think that this Mini would be better. However, the price could come down a little. I looked at a similar Mini near me for $18,500. at a local dealer.
i dunno price is decent. thats how many miles i have on my 06 MC. you still get to take it to the dealer for service in 2k more miles for its 25k check up. So sounds like a good deal. But is this from a Mini Dealer or Private seller or dealer. Also probably want to get a vin check on the car see if it is that car and a CarFax wouldn't hurt too..
Newbie to this formum. Not trying to steal U68423 thunder by posting on his thread, but I thought it could help kill multiple birds with one post. I'm looking at an 05' mini here. I have test drove this car once and hope to have another couple of spins...loved it. The milage is actually 30,000. Just curious as to what some experienced Cooper owners think.

I spent about 5 years wanting a Mini S. I looked off and on during that time period. There are deals out there to be had. It all comes down to what you want for options. For me to even consider to look at a Mini for sale it had to be under 25,000 miles, the "S" was a must, along with a 6 speed manual, 17in wheels and a pano roof. I also refused to pay over $16k, which is probably why I waited so long to get one. Then as I started to do some more homework I determined that it also could not be any older than 04(nov. and later production date). This way I could avoid earlier production issues and problems. http://www.motoringfile.com/mini-r50r53-buyers-guide/
I ended up going with a 04 MCS with 21445 miles and still under warranty until Dec 2008. I paid 15,845 out the door and I been glad ever since.
