Exhaust help

Own a '03 Mini S. Was looking to start adding Mods. Was thinking about exhaust....but was unsure of where to start. I mean there are so many different brands that range in price. I mean why should I get a Borla exhaust....spending $900 when I could the same performance out of an exhaust system for half the price. (yes, I know they sound different) Any suggestions?? And also what am I looking at for installation costs??

Yeah, but considering if you like the Borla sound, the only way is probably going with a Borla setup! Don't go with another setup if you only feel you'll want a Borla again in the future! As for myself I wanted the sound of a Remus, and it was around the $1,000 range but I knew if I went with something else, I'd want a Remus in the future, I can't be happier with the exhaust! The typical cost of installation can go from $50-$100 depends on where you go and what you want to get done!

Motor On!

The Borla Sound's always been my ideal, too. Found the Sport (Race/"Aggressive") version to fit my 04 MCS Amazon.com $778.01 Free Shipping. Here's a link to the 03 part http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_au...5%29&x=14&y=15 Not cheap but less than $929 etc

Get the Magnaflow Exhaust. I am getting the Magnaflow Dual Catback for my '06 Cooper S very soon, and I have heard it on other MINIs, both in person and online...And none other compares for what you pay for the great amount of sound and performance that you get when you buy the magnaflow exhaust. Before I decided on Magnaflows, I was tossed up between them (the magnaflows) and the borla aggressive/"sport" exhaust...but i think that magnaflows are the best bet! and i found a place where i can get them for only $710!!

Yeah, Performance Peddler hadda sale on a few months ago for The MagnaFlow MCS for $590! (Went back up to $7 someting now) If I'd had bucks at the time, I woulda jumped. Most people consider MF & Borla tied for performance gains as well as sound. Randy Webb estimates 10hp!

Don't know about the MF for $710, but I found the Borla Race/Aggressive Part #14019 to fit late 04-06 MCS at http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listi...938365-8136042 for $778 FREE Shipping! And it ROCKS! I've had it for three days - SUCH a sweet sound! (The picture in the add is not the exhaust you'll receive, but if you google Borla part # 14019, you'll see it's in fact the dual cat back for the MCS w/ mufflers about the size of two V8 Juice cans! )
