I used to have an audi and I had a tool that used my laptop to connect and and would give me tons of info. I could even reset my codes and have sensor readings. Is there one for the mini? It is probably the same one since it is a standard, but I wasn't sure.

You used a Vag Com which is an awesome tool for VW's and Audi's. I'm not aware of anything similar for the Mini...

Bim-Com.

Same source, a few select people have beta versions, but it hasn't progressed past that.

Well if your willing to pay for it, the GT1 is about as technical as you can get for the Mini.

I've used AutoTap before. It's pretty nice, they have palm or laptop versions.

I coulda had a V8

There are two reason for the handle. I have used them for years and like the feel shifting with it. Yes mostly cars with + 4 slugs. If you ever used one you know what I mean. And secondly side button allows easy and controllable activation of my Flame.

You might want to check out Autoenginuity
They have pda and laptop versions and their enhanced BMW version has more MINI sensors than the standard package.

I have the autoenginuity scan tool with the BMW enhanced package. I have had some problems with the tool...for example it does not report the MODE$06 information correctly, and the graphs do not scale correctly. I have reported these two failures over a year ago and rather that look into the problem...I was told I was wrong??? These two problems continue to exist, please advise if anyone else has also seen this problem?
