My MINI has been ordered today and I am VERY excited!!! I have been reading MCO (and others) for a while now while waiting. It has been pretty educational and helpful......and a good crutch!

The MINI: Chili Red with white top and mirrors; anthracite interior; sport package (white rims); and cruise control.

This week the dealer is supposed to have an MCS with the JCW installed so I will be heading up there to test that out. I have been reading all the threads on this and decided I will simply test it myself and decide for myself. My thought is (for those who care) is that buying it with the JCW is like buying a brand new classic car. Why?? Because I've always loved that one classic car at the car show that had the special engine upgrades that only a few people got.....of course there were only XX red ones....XX with this option....and so on. I wanted to get one of those...this is my classic car!! Silly....heck ya....but it's all mine!!!!

Looking forward to motoring soon!!!!!

Hi Tim,
I ordered my MCS on Saturday! She's your car's sister. I'd say twin but no 2 MINIs are exactly alike. but I love the Chili Red / White color combo too! I'm getting the Aero Kit and Union Jack too.

Keep us posted about the JCW ! I've always wondered if you can actually tell the difference in the ride.

In a month or so I'll have a number and I'll be joining the "Waiting for NOV club".
I'll see you there!!

Well...maybe I'm not using the right lingo.....I ordered my MINI a while ago.....today I got my production number!!! Even better !!! So hopefully it wont be long. I know the standard wait from the time tyou receive a production number to delivery has been about 6 to 8 weeks.....but since this a first order for a 2004 and the factory will be down for a bit this month....I don't know what the delivery time will be like. But...Not complaining.....just excited!!!!

After placing an order in early March I got my production number today! I'm sure the time will pass quickly and I'll enjoy some great fall drives...Harmini, OmToast, Mark, Ryan, Red03, AND ALL--thanks for your role in helping the time fly to this point...

Driving a MINI demands that one reevaluate, or even consider the value of keeping, one's sense of sanity. Things will change because MINIs are just too cool and its fun to get caught up in the whole thing....the mods...the detailing...the groupies...the waving...and the MOTORING!!!! I'm gave myself permission to totally obsess for a year. I'm 6 months in. Its getting worse.
