My MINI was already built and is awaiting shipment. Does anyone know how long it usually has taken for the car to arrive to your dealership once after it has been built??? Thanks!

Well, if it is awating shipment, I hate to say it, but you will never see it around 9/5! Mine is on the boat right now and my dealership said to expect it the second week of September.(and I am not sure if even that will happen)

My Sea Mist Green Mini was shipped on Aug 17th and it states my delivery date is
9-1. I do not know if it takes a week to cross the Atlantic but if it does I believe the date for mine to be correct. Or at least it excites the hell out of me. When I received my production date which was Aug. 8, the dealership told me the second week of September. So I do not know who you I should believe. I hope my date is right and yours to be correct also because I want to drive. Does any else have any info for us?

Woody

GOSHHHH!!!!
I hope your not right deering. Even though i think you are. i mean i cant imagine it taking only a few days to cross the atlantic. plus the time from the distribution to my dealer, which is all the way in MIAMI, Florida. Does anyone know where the distribution center is?

thanks!

I hope I am wrong, but there is a back up of cars at the distribution center and it is taking a while to even get out of there. (up to 3 weeks for some people) I am trying to remain optimistic about it because I am in Minnesota and am not driving my MINI in the snow, so she needs to hurry up so we can get some motoring under our belt before winter! Come on greenhouse effect!

Hi Joel! My MINI just got off the boat TODAY!!! I am hoping to have her within 2 weeks! Are you getting your MINI at Motorwerks? If so who are you dealing with? We have been dealing with Simon English. (he actually is English...perfect to buy a MINI from, huh?) Well, I hope you get your MINI soon, the waiting is killing me. The closer it gets, the worse I am! Let me know whenyou are getting yours for sure, it will give me hope!

Dude you gotta check the FAQS at mini2.com and follow the instructions for tracking your mini's boat ride!!! Mine(darksilver/white MCS prod date 8/23) is on the the good ship Figaro right now!!! The Figaro is due in NY on 9/3, Baltimore 9/4 and Charleston,SC on 9/6, My local dealernerds told me it takes about four days to get to them from the port of entry. I am Mr. Optimistic so your car is probably on these shores NOW! Camp-out at the dealer starting tonight.

My dealership called to tell me my "S" was here when the website showed it was still enroute. She said the website status was delayed so new owners would not be calling the dealerships wanting their Mini. ????

I do believe the bottleneck is loosening ... After being on the doc from Aug 13th to the 24th My MINI arrived at the dealership on the 30th of August and was in my driveway the same day As of today August 31 my baby has over 100 miles in one day ....... finally ... So it looks like cars that get to the VDC are flying through rapidly once they make it there ... GOOD LUCK !

Ahhhhh, it's so frustrating. My car has been at the dock for a week and then I was told yesterday that it's at the VDC, but that I should expect that it'll be there 5 to 7 days!! At least that's what the person at MINI Toll-free said YESTERDAY. Another one, the day before, said that cars were moving out of the VDC in under 24 hours. Who to believe?? No one, I guess, until I see the car at the dealer with my own eyes.

Looks like a long weekend...

hEY guys!

it seems like my MINI finally got on a ship! how do i figure out which ship it is on. according to one of the previos posts in this topic, i think it is on FIGARO. the guy at ASK MINI told me it should be arriving to Port Charles, SC around the 6-8 of September. I assuming my MINI is on that ship. Does anyone have an estimated delivery date from their dealer, of whos MINI is on the FIGARO. also exactly what is done at the DISTRIBUTION CENTER, beside distributing. iread somew where that they make some modifications on the car if necessary. what does this mean?

thanks,
edward

There seems to be two stories in the VDC logic ... the cars do arrive at the VDC then they sit there 1) so when they say it is at the VDC it may be there but not checked in for processing ...2) when the the car is checked in at the VDC they fly through in a day ...if you have no problems that is .

When I called up ASK-MINI, they made a distinction between the "Production Center" and the "Distrubition Center"... at the PD, thats where they check over the car, and do the final EPA checking, and at the DC, that's when they figure out how they are going to get it to your dealer....
