New to MINI

Hi Floks,

Pleased to be among you all. I've been watching the Mini since its rebirth and finally took the plunge and found a very clean 2004 Cooper S with 25K miles just before Thanksgiving.
Since we're suffering snow here in NH, I've had a chance to run in all weather and must say the Mini is a nice agreeable car in rain, snow and Ice. No big suprises but...somewhere in my 3 and a half hour commute home last week, I lost the cover that shields the wiper bolt on the drivers side.
Is this a regular occurance in anyones experience? Should I be stocking up on them?

I've never lost that part, in the 3 harsh winters that I've been through. Never heard of anyone else losing that part, either, be it in person or here on NAM...

welcome to NAM. you will find almost everything you need for your Mini within these walls. avoid Palo Uber products and LDG tuning and everything will go smooth.

yes, those suckers dont stay on to well. ive been thru 3 sets already.

$4.65 replacement part.
Just ordered from the local dealer. The guy in parts dept. said it is unusual but epidemic after the last storm.
Not a warranty part...as a matter of fact he said they have a sun roof repair coming in that isn't under warranty. Tractor trailer dumped a load of ice on one of the highways and it landed smack dab in the drivers compartment...along with the remnants of the sun roof.
That has got to be a shocker!
