Welcome to MCO. You can do a search on the site here, and you'll find that there's some information around on the MINI convertible/cabrio.

And for everyone...something I hadn't seen yet (but may be out there)...this is from the New York Times:

"A Mini Cooper convertible is coming, but with the Mini factory in Oxford, England, running close to capacity, BMW may have the coachbuilder Pininfarina manufacture the cars in Italy."

Those of you in the know will realize that this could be a big deal, and may make our little topless cousin a beautiful machine!

 

There was also an article about it in Playboy! And yes I do read it for the articles.

ok, heres another question..

i right now, am saving for a mini. never really caught on to the entire whole craze of them until i saw "The Italian Job" and did some spec read ups on them. needless to say, DAMN!

as of right now tho, i am saving, and i do have a mini dealer near my house *45min or so THERE, dunno back since they f**ked up the bridge across the mississippi*

so, should i save for a 2003 or 4 cooper S. or just go ***** out and save for the cabroiliet?

 

I don't think the cabriolet will be supercharged. I think it will be like the normal Mini Cooper, but topless.

will there be a mcs 'vertible S? and if so, how do you suppose it will
handle when compared to a hardtop model? As stiff or not?

wow i wouldnt have even heard about the cabriolet after you brought it up, after all these months

yours posts are really boring me. first u start with "classic minis suck" then u move on to "can i put daytons on mini" and now ur starting up "is there a cabriolet mini" thread

and i want to be friendly and welcome new members

i just get my feathers rustled when these new members purposefully try to get under peoples skin by insulting them or insulting thier classic minis

Exactly right! Check out the guys other threads, and yes I'm sure the heat has to do with it too.
