Wheel finish with Liquid Yellow car?
I was looking for new wheels using one of those sites that lets you "see" the wheels on your virtual car. I was a bit surprised by what colors looked good. In real life what have been the best wheel color/finish to pair with liquid yellow black top? Black tends to look washed out - gold looked good but not sure that would in real life. Thanks!
Totally agree for a LY/B. If it were LY/W, then I'd emphatically say white, white, white!

With the black roof, IMO, black wheels. But try some different lip combinations if you can. Either machined or black might look good, IMO. It might depend on the wheel style.
I happen to think that machined lips are more practical for a daily driver. It's too easy to make a mistake and bark up the lip paint (for me, anyway).

Bobwoodly,
I posted several pics a little over a week ago of my LY 03' S. Pics include Glossy Black and Hyper Black rims on my LY S. I hope it helps.

IMHO LY/W with white wheels can look a little tropical, Creamsickle-like if you're not careful!
LY/B with black wheels can likewise look a little bumblebee-like, but it really toughens the look of the car.
Black wheels without a "lip" just look like steelies in motion... don't overspend on black wheels if it's only the "look" you're going for.
Gold, bronze, may clash with the yellow since there's a lot of yellow in gunmetal or bronze.
(NOTE: All of the above my opinion only, your's likely will vary! Whatever you do, check the galleries and other Mini photos to see what you like best. There's a HUGE thread over in the wheels/tires section that can help...)
