I now know what's its like to be idolized.

Leaving work last night a young, tragically hip co-worker asked who owned the new MINI. Puffed up with pride, I pulled out the keys and opened the windows remotely...a show of technology and daring. This guy then went into a three minute tribute to my coolness (which, in my eyes, was never in doubt), his idolization of me as a MINI owner and the proclamation of the car as "ill."

Okay...

The fan club will only grow from there. They will ask questions, make comments and make you late for your apointments. But..........it's the MINI way of life. Like celebrity, it comes with the job.
Cheers,

It can get a bit embarrising at times. Just last weekend my wife and I drove (the Mini) to Dr. Mikes, a great ice cream stand in the Danbury area. We walked up to the counter that was staffed by two lovely girls who could have not been older than 18 and both of them looked at me and said, "we just love your car", while smiling and wide eyed, now why didn't that happen to me when I was 18 and driving my 1963 robins egg blue Ford Falcon!

yep, I get most of my questions while filling up the tank. You can even read lips, when they say... "OMG its a Mini".

Enjoy the looks!

Greetings !!

OmToast:
However... as one formerly accustomed to motoring fresh-outta-bed in slobber stained jammies, I do find all the primping necessary for our level of celebrity just a bit tedious at times...
Now there is an idea for a new event theme !!! A Midnight MINI Run - everyone in their pajamas !!!

Ron

Streaking in a MINI -- could be done very quickly !!

There goes "The Streak" , sporting only his/her racing stripes !!
