Blue taping your MINI

Ok so if any of you have been wondering what it would look like if you blue taped your mini this is how it will look. this is used when you dont have a clear bra on your car yet but you still want to protect it from rocks, bugs, things of that nature. i did my car (whole bonnet, and bumper) in about an hour and a half. well here you go!

You may only have had to go 1/3 - 1/2 way up the bonnet, but a little extra protection never hurt. Sounds like this job would be too tough to do often (like more than once every three years or four years ).

careful not to leave it on too long, clear bras are porous, not so sure about blue tape. . .

well i did do it only about 2/3s the way up but it looked goofy (more goofy then it does now) so thats why i did the whole thing. the tape says that it has 14 days before it will leave any kind of residue. but if the roads are looking good then i will take it off while im up there.

I always wanted to do that, except the whole car. Kind of like that S4 that went on that road trip.

its really not hard, if you were to do the whole car i would recommend using the 2" tape and not the 1". it would just make every thing much much easier!

I did the same thing on my STI when I drove from Orlando to Atlanta and back. It was durring bug season and that alone saved me a lot of time and elbow effort.

Good job! As an alternative, there is a spray on temporary bra that can be used as well. I haven't used it, but know others who have with good results:
