Check out the winimini.com site, they have lowered their prices. See links on this site.

Since all of your sad comments listed below, I have spoken direct to
winimini.com here in the Netherlands. They make the comment that when
you receive your number for the draw, you are given full details of Lawyer,
contact address, bank etc. All people who are in the draw are told who won and all the details are to be posted on the web site. No draw means total refund. Not everybody is out to cheat the world
some people are genuine enthusiasts of the Mini and can never afford one, and the idea was to give these people a real chance. Remember that the mini costs more in europe than the states, consider yourself lucky. This is just two mini fanatics trying
to make a very 'small' living and giving other people a chance at some fun.

that has got to be one of the bigest scames I have ever seen. you send them your money and they say. "Oh sorry you didnt win" In fact, nobody won, and they get to keep all the money. The only MINI give away that I would ever think about doining, is if mini them selfs did one.. just my 2 cents...

I'm with littlecajun on this one - does anyone know the legitimacy of the winamini thing? I haven't tried to research it myself or anything...

I have checked it out and it is absolutely legal, with a lawyer represenatative. If you read carefully the winner will be posted (with pictures) on the site when the draw has taken place. Based in the Netherlands, you cannot breathe without permission, so there cannot be a scam, because all lotteries etc are legalised and checked.

Seeing how when I first looked at the web page, the only way to contact them was thru their pay-pal account... And knowing what a pain in the **** pay-pal is to deal with, i wouldn't trust them with a dollar...

The winner is solely responsible for all taxes, fees, surcharges and expenses, including but not limited to: state and federal income tax, destination charges, registration, title and license fees, insurance and all other costs incurred in claiming, registering, shipping, or using the vehicle.
Ok, so why try to win a MINI for 12 bux, when you have to pay to get it shipped from an unknown location to where you live? Anyone else catch the shipping part?

Isn't it amazing what people think they see, winimini.com has never
had anything to do with pay pal as it is not a trusted site. And as they
offer full refund this would not be the best form of payment.

Shipping does not mean 'ship' it refers to the cost of getting it from your nearest dealer to you. winimini.com is primarily for the European market, but if you read carefully what it says: if someone from the USA wins then winimini will order a new mini cooper from the dealer nearest to the home of the winner. That would seem
to me to be reasonable, then you have the choice of options and colours etc.

Well, good luck Pianoman! I don't think the rest of us will be there, so better odds for you! I'll be happy to concede you were right when you write us all and tell us you won

I cannot do it because I know them very well, but I can assure you that when the picture of the winner is posted, I will make sure you can all see it. They have nearly
half of the required number for the first draw, so it won't be long.

A: I swear I thought I saw a PayPal logo before, I don't appreciate the snide comments in the forum and in two private messages you sent me. I'm not the one who's collecting money on a website with no contact information on the front page.

And B: I wish that there was some place that mentioned it would be ordered at my local dealership, so I could read it carefully... but there's not, unless maybe you send me your info after I send you mine, but that's not a very up-front way of conducting busness now is it?

Why is pianoman so defensive about this giveaway??

Is he in some way involved in it? Is that the reason? If that is not the reason I'm really speechless why he would care.
