A question on signatures...

Some time ago I owned an Audi, and was part of the appropriate forum, and used the same signature (avatar?) that I now use.
I wondered then (and didn't ask!), as I wonder now; What's the story behind everyones' signature?
"Hegira" is a great album by Joni Mitchell, backed up by Jaco Pastorius on bass. The theme of the entire album is about being on the road. It took me a while to figure that out, but then I'm not the sharpest knife in the chandelier.
It is also an Arabic word, loosely translated, meaning "flight".
There are some pretty interesting signatures on this forum, such as "Paipuky", "Snyper", etc.
So, not to ramble on for too long, what are the origins of your sig?

Hegira

My name is one I used when I played DOOM online. I like it and since I have a Solid Gold MINI and "A Quasar" fits on Auric.

NEWDL is kinda interesting...I used to have really curly hair...like ringlet curley...so my cousin called me noodle head...then in 94 when we got AOL I needed a screen name and noodle was taken so it became NEWDL

NEWDL is now my NAM, AIM, License Plate and general nickname....who knew my cousin would have such an impact....

Delelie is (was) the best bar in Amsterdam while I was living there - though it's closed down now. It was a bruine kroeg (a neighborhood brown bar).
Delelie actually means "the lily". I've been delelie since I lived there many, many years ago...
And kleinje means tiny, small, or in other words - MINI!

Louis is the famous dog of mine who was missing 11-16-05 to 12-12-05. It was a Christmas miracle, when this beagle-mix finally turned up. He's a survivor from way back when bad neighbor was his master and would leave him alone in the backyard (or the house) for a month at a time while off on business. Louis came under the fence repeatedly and bad neighbor offered him to me when he moved (it was that or to the pound.. as if there was any choice).

And I'm a real child, er, pup at heart myself. That's the Louispup tale.

Over the past year I've spend many evenings on my DH's StangsUnleashed forum with the name SCGT500 Co Pilot. The meaning behind it is...Shelby Cobra GT500, Co Pilot, of course.

After deciding on a Mini and spending too much time lurking here on the NAM forum, I decided upon a name.

Since the Mini is mine, I found it very fitting to go with Mini S Pilot. Now I know you don't think he'll go for signing up as Mini S Co Pilot?

I needed an on-line psydoname and to be honest, I am not very inventive. KISS 106 in Dallas had a guy on the morning show that they called Flakeboy so I uh... "borrowed" it. I then started modding on a site called Dalantech.com and changed it to DaFlake. I have had it for almost 7 years now.
