I'm cross-posting coz it seems I'm more likely to get a response in MINI Talk

So I've been going crazy trying to figure out what this rattle/buzzing I've been hearing from the passenger side of my car is. Turns out it's the big speaker towards the bottom of the passenger door.

The rattle/buzz still happened whether or not the radio was on, so I didn't think it would be the speaker.

But this weekend, I had my wife look around while we were driving, and she figured out it was coming from the speaker. She pressed it down when it was buzzing, and it stopped.

Finally found the source!! Is there a quick fix? Otherwise I have to wait until the next time I go in to see my dealer

Do you have the HK upgrade? Many people have reported this.

I took off my door panels and felted everywhere on the back of the panel; you might find it is not the actual speaker, but the panel near the speaker ...

it's you door panel that is rattling. Your dealer should have a fix, I know my deal does. They take the panel off and place felt on the back to make a tighter fit. My also does this, but if you pull or puch on the door panel it will stop. I just need to take the time and take it to the dealer.

Thanks for the tips. Yeah, it's definitely the door panel around the speaker. At least now I know where it's coming from and I'm not crazy.

I'll take it in to the dealer for them to have a look, until then I can just slap the door panel and the noise stops !! hahah!

I keep taking mine into the dealer every time it starts acting up. I had it in there just a couple days after taking delivery. Then I had it in there again just a couple weeks ago. Yep, the rattle/buzz came back. Have you made your move to AZ yet?

I cut a strip of cardboard and stuffed it between the door panel and the door.
So far so good, and doesn't require removal of the door.

I've discovered a kinda chattering sound from the passenger side of the car... seems to kick in when ever my wife is sitting in that seat, and stops when she gets out... wait a minute, that's my wife doing the chattering!!! Never mind.

God speed.
