I'll be there in my Motoring Advisor role. Stop by and say Hi. If I'm not there one of the MINI of Pittsburgh MAs will be.

I did not know if you knew it was me! Its hard to get people together around here, they are not like DC MINIs, or you guys in Texas! But i am going anyway! I have gone every year before they had MINIs and it was in the OLD Place, Very OLD!
Thanks and hope to see you, you guys are next to Bentley and Rolls Royce(which should be seperate)Audi vs. BMW , I have pics from Last Year! No Minis though. But BMW's and Rolls Royce!

I do believe it's Michael H who bought his car from us. Hi! And thanks for using MINI of Pittsburgh! You know we are starting to educate folks that this is not an ordinary car buying experience!

See you at the show!

My cars in the back right now!

I was just getting my programed features done, Its back their behind you! I think i am the only one with white wheels. Since they moved next door.
The rental they gave me is great! Its the same colors as yours, but no S.And its automatic, which is cool because i never drove one, my girlfriend likes it, she prefers the hardtop! The sunroof is huge on this thing! The six speed auto/manual is better then I thought, just like on the 330xi! Even the same shifter ****! I thought it was funny I got an automatic. But everything is great with the MINI, I get so many smiles over here!!! And i think my car is famous, everyone turns, I had two people while in IKEA AND PANERA look at it!!
They walked all the way across the lot to look inside then they started pointing!!! I am giving you bussiness.
Every kid that has one of those Modified cars(like civics) looks over like its the (A) car from SECA. I got my stuff from Pittstop but its the old stuff. Hope i can get them together.
Anyway trying to find a place to stay the night before so i can go in early. Last year I was the 20th guy in line waiting a hour before it opened!
see you at the show and hopefully their will be other MINI owners there.

Pittsburgh Auto Show Meet

Mike,

I was hoping there would be a meet as well. I work for the Allegheny HYP Club on William Penn Place (just down from the Convention Center) where Pitt Stop Mini could host an informal happy hour prior to going over to the Show if enough people were interested.

You said the 22nd? That's a Tuesday, right? It would sure work for me. Street parking is allowed after 6:00 pm or there are two garages in the vicinity as well.

Let me know if you'd like to talk about getting this organized. Bill Schimtt at Mini of Pittsburgh is aware that I'm trying to spearhead something as well.

 My email is djackman@alleghenyHYPclub.com.

Best,

Dawn Jackman

You may have a problem. I think the show only runs until the 20th.

Pittsburgh Auto Show - Meet - Dates...Feb. 12 - 20

The show runs from Feb. 12 - 20th. Anytime during the last week (say the 16 or 17th) would be good, but maybe there isn't enough interest....

Sounds good to me! Make a list.

Sorry put down the wrong date , that was last year!
We should shoot for Sat., Thats the only time i can get over there. Living in Ohio . But That would be the 19th, If thats cool with people I am good for it. I am their early on Sat. anyway. Pittstop has nothing going anyway right now. I trying to email them but nothing yet. It could just be at the autoshow itself or anything else because parking is $$$. unless you park far away and walk over. Mini is over on the ledge again , near Ascot's RR and bentley. So look for that. Anything you guys are going to do let me know, I am trying to find a cheap place to stay.
We need to know everyone thats in!
So i think we should make a list.
thanks -alpinamike

Alpinamike, I researched the JCW kit for the 05 Cooper and it'll be available in April. It contains an improved air filter, a stainless sports exhaust, and revised engine management software.

Thanks Graham

I only heard 5+ hp, though, and of course it improves the sound, how much $$$? Is any of this true?
Thanks alpinamike

No price yet. This kit is primarily for looks and sound. Quoting from the brochure: "The Sound Kit air filter provides direct access from the engine compartment to the vehicle's interior, creating that genuine racing feel." There are also comments about the exhaust's sporty look and sound. The brochure quotes a power yield of 3HP.

As I said, the emphasis is on sound and looks.

In the aftermarket, without going turbo you can get close to 140hp by doing the following:

Ported head
Cooper S valves
Schrick cam
Green Twister filter
Supersprint exhaust
Madness big bore throttle body
MTH software

Say goodbye to your factory warranty though! At least you will keep that with the Works kit.

thanks graham.

We are trying to get something set up here for the auto show, when finished you and bill will be the first to know .
The kit sounds nice but only 3+hp gain.
The lit door sils look better then I thought , I should have bought them with my MINI , saw them on www.motoringfile.com under the New Limited slip update on the Black MCS JCW on the top page , check it out!
Tell casandra thanks( and i have one more person who is thinking about a tin top, i have to give my Ref. number, she loves my car, and she wants one.) again and we will see Casandra at the show if she is there.
thanks graham
-Mike
