A Little Non-Bimmer/Non-Mini Eye Candy...Ever Seen A Vector??

Hi guys,

While I was up at HP Autowerks in Santa Barbara on Friday getting my RTABs and RE Adjustable Rear Camber Arms replaced on my M3, and they had a Vector in the shop. At one time, this was the fastest car in the world. This particular car has a big 'ole V8 and sounds like a monster. I took a few pics with my Sony A100 DSLR and thought some of you might enjoy seeing it.

Bob

I didn't think those were still being made/sold. I am assuming that the lack of plates and the overall new look means that is a new Vector. I guess they fit the driver to the cockpit as there are no pedals in that car. I remember that a Vector was used in the movie "Black Rain"- it crashed and burned.

I see my Miata has Vector turn signals.

Looks like a kit car to me. Sad because it is quite a car. It's looks let it down.

Looks like a good kit car.

Here's an early version, very spacey looking. GM front sidelights.

Cool drawing

It's a vector drawing... http://www.flickr.com/photos/thomasrino/7024197/

Check this morphing picture out.

An above shot.

So, from what I can tell, it's the latest that I haven't seen yet, or a nice kit car. The gauges facing the roof is not a good sign.

I noticed the bad angle on the gauges as well, I would think that glare would make them hard to read but I guess those are only very occasionally used and are expensive toys for the very wealthy who want something that very few have.
