Repaired Civic cosmetic check..

A couple of weeks ago my brand new 06 Civic with less than 650miles was
damaged by a newb UPS truck driver who backed into my driver side
rear bumper and smashed the tail light along with lightly denting the
quarter panel...there was a nice long verticle crease on the rear bumper
too... bodyshop estimated at $980 damage.

I fixed it myself using my PDR tools, new tail light, touch up paint, etc...
althought it's not 'perfect', wanted to get your opinion... look ok?

i made a couple hundred bucks from the check my insurance cut me.

I have to say that you are the only one who's ever going to know it's not perfect. To me it is. Give yourself a big pat on the back. You earned it. Great job.

Woah, amazing job. Best "do it yourself" repair I've ever seen. It looks brand new.

You did a fantastic job as far as i can see there.

I have a small rock chipped in the fron of my car that really...really gave me a bad dream for months now. I want to take it to professional to do it, but my wife said no one would see it!!!

touch up! layers upon layers with a tooth pick, and then sand off the
top layer with ScratchX on a old t-shirt wrapped in a small block of
wood to match the surrounding paint height. works great.

so i got my deductible back via check today from my insurance co.
the only thing i paid for was touch up paint and the $150 tail light.

i actually made a decent amount of money on this accident.

time to get more detailing and PDR stuff.
