"Mini" on Street Tuner Challenge...
Don't know if it's our current MINI, or the classic Mini. But tonight Wed, Oct 12th at 10:30pm on speed channel, and again at Thur Oct 13th at 1:30 am and 9:30 am. Episode description says a "Look at the MINI..."
Really? TiVo says:
EDIT:
Nevermind. Didn't see the 'look at the mini' at the very beginning of that description. hehe. my bad.
Street Tuner Challenge "Bend It and Spark It" A look at the Mini; GM fabricates a roll cage for the Cobalt; the Skyline gets a body kit; work begins on the Jetta suspension.

I'm watching... but haven't seen anything on the MINI yet. Did I miss it in the first 9 minutes of the show? Looks to me like the 3 cars being tuned are the American Cobalt, the Japanese Skyline(?) and German VW Mark IV.

I watched that same episode last week. It was pretty good. The Skyline was insane - it had 810 WHP!!! They kept having problems with it though because after all, it is a 14 year old car.
The Cobalt didn't do too bad - surprisingly. It's the SS model, so it has a factory supercharger, hmmm, what other cars can I think of that have a factory supercharger?
The VW was kinda lame though...
It would be very cool to see a MINI in the lineup!

Damn! this is the 2003 one. There's nothing on the web site on the 2005 running.

I think the skyline is cool. I woudn't ever own one or anything, but I respect it as a performance car.
Yeh, not just performance-wise, but the overall job on the VW was not to my liking. I think it's a bit boring car to be mod.
I think it's good to see how the American 4-cylinder cars hold up too.
The Golf seems more "mod-ready"
It definitely would be nice to see a MINI on the show.

Thanks...
They're Wet Okole Neoprene seat covers. Made specifically for the MINI seats. You can't get (at least in '05) a red and black interior in the convertible. So I had to do it aftermarket. The red in the seat covers is pretty 'vibrant' and not to too far from the Chili Red. They attract a LOT of attention.

the Gti cars get more play out side of the states, so not a lot of kool mods for the big body vw's
in the states people tend to mod more on the sedan type rides then in europe!
that sux!....no?
