So, does anyone have any idea as to what car they're going to start off with?! There's just soooo many to choose from. Of course, I'll have to get my licenses first - that could take awhile.

 

Seeing as they will bring back the used car scene, its impossible to tell. I might go the classic 92 gto route like in GT1, but who knows, in gt3 i just got all golds in b-lisence and got a free miata snd tuned it with the cash i started out with. Its a very different game and im so excited!

release date is Dec 14, right? Thats when i start break, and dont stop playing gt4 for a month straight!

 

i think for the first car in gt4 ill get a mini s or the dodge neon srt 4. in gt3 i have a 1397hp viper heheh took me forever. does any1 have an update on the release date?

 

I'm no gaming nerd, but I do love the racing games which is pretty much all I have for my PS2. But anywho, I checked out some gaming sites and the current release date for GT4 is Dec.14th. Being that it already got bumped once, who knows if that'll be the actual date. I'm sure it will, being that it's so close to Christmas. Damn....I hate waiting.

how did you get that much horsepower out of a viper? I think everybody has a 1800 horsepower escudo, but not that much out of a viper.

 

Don't quote me, but I think the Japan release is December 3rd and the US release is December 14th or something like that. Can't wait!

I'm glad they want to get it right before releasing it but this is getting frustrating.

Son of @#@$@%@!!!! I bought the Logitech whell expecting GT4 out sooner. I guess they're tweaking and adding cars (SCion) or making it online and then you can have unlimited cars.

I heard directly from the mouth of a Sony employee that the game currently has been pushed back from it's December release date, and is now "some time in 2005". He said that the reason for the delay is that they decided to add online ability to the game!! Now, I can't say for sure that this guy was 100% correct, but he does work for Sony in the video game division.

Online play would be great!!

 

Ok....NOW I'm pissed. It' like telling your kid that he's going to absolutely freak over the Christmas present you just bought him. That it's sooo cool, and it's something he's always wanted. But then telling him he's gotta wait like 3 months until Christmas to open it. Or.....it's like being on a wait list for your MINI to arrive. AHHHHHHHHHH. Stop the madness!!

This Gran Turismo really has me drolling for a Playstation. Or maybe I'll just visit a PS2-equipped friend.

I do most of my gaming currently on the PC, where the games also get pushed back, and back, but probably to a lesser extent since manufacturers always have the option of releasing a patch to fix buggy game code. I'm paying two newly released PC games right now, Half-Life 2 and Sims 2, and anxiously awaiting patches on both since they have plenty of problems. With the playstation game, the game makers don't have that luxury since it's much trickier to patch a console title.

 

So, you think they will have a new Mini on PS2, GT4? Game will be out by Thursday I believe. I don't play a lot of Play Station, but we do have GT 3, and it is a kick.
If they have the Mini S, I wonder what upgrades they will have for it.

Don't know what to say. As I said, I'm not into video games, but I do get into a race game once in a while, but......but WOW. I have never seen anything about GT4, only what my son has told me. If those sceen shots are what it will be like, and...... and all the CARS!

I've been stoked about GT4's release for a year and they keep moving the release date back! Very frustrating. Mid January is the latest release date i have heard. Can't wait!!!!

Me and a buddy of mine git 99.2%. You got to go into arcade mode and complete all the time trials. Some of them are soo hard. Like The RUF RGT on complex string. grrr
