I like the MK4 better. I guess I'll get used to it though.

It has been Toyota-ized. I don't like it.

I would rather look at the Dodge Magnum in the last photo....

Yeah, a little Toyota, a dash of Focus, and a hint of the MK4 Jetta under there somewhere too.

no, No, NO. Horrid change. Funny you say it looks Toyota-esque, thats the first thing I thought. You think they would realize that...

Uh, ok. It was Toyota (for that matter a lot of other Asian car companies) that copied design elements of the MK4 Jetta: the door handles, the rear whip antenna, etc. So, it's not surprising that a rounded less angular Jetta looks like the Corolla. The MK4's steeply raked C-pillars/rear glass is what makes it look really different. The MK5's rear is not so steeply raked.

FWIW, I will be gettin the Audi A3 Sportback with either 2.0T or TDI/PD, Quattro and DSG when it arrives here. It's a more distinguished looking car than it's Golf cousin.

PS.
Here's a cute VW MK5 Commercial: http://www.pureesoiree.be/Post/?P_ID=6080
