I've never understood why cars are legislated to become ever more like tanks while bikes have become ever more like racers. There was time I craved a 250cc Ducati.

That red is so bright it hard to believe it is the original 25 year old paint job. Yes, that's right, this bike is a hand built antique with little regard for lawyer input, just the way Mossimo Tamburini intended since this was the last model year designed and made before Ducati was bought by American investors, although their money helped buy the unusual parts spec'd on this baby.

The Ducati has landed

Chapter 3 begins.

We didn't know exactly when, but we knew they were coming today with Muscle and we prepared to meet them with crowbars and energy drinks. They dropped her off the back of a fiercely custom OTR semi right onto the street, it left a mark. Not the last mark this Ducati was going to leave on the streets of this hot sleepy town in Arizona. Even the retired Mafia Don from across the street came over pumping his walker to see why the Italian word for red hot sex was on the crate. Some gas poured in, ignition, and the zounds of desmo thunder set car alarms off driving timid natives skittering back to their A/C cocoons.

But not us, it was Time to Ride, the Sausage Creature began the song of his people - our kind of crazy. We were somewhere around Tucson on the edge of the desert when the race gas began to take hold,...

*to be continued

There are some things nobody needs in this world, and a bright-red, hunch-back, warp-speed 900cc cafe racer is one of them - but I want one anyway, and on some days I actually believe I need one. That is why they are dangerous.

I like the simple classic lines, actually most of the bikes look like a japanese toy design.
Respect it an never accelerate with a cold engine.
And now save a lot for a Jaguar mint E type with 12 cylinders.

I have always liked the Ducati MH900e and would like to have it... I agree about the riding, when I need to just scream at the speed of light with my hair on fire I tend to do it on my bike... 2005 Honda CBR 1000 RR

Motor on!

A very interesting test in the "youngtimers Motorrad" of your beloved bike.

I put down 100 miles yesterday on this very smoothly done Ducati. Many, many parts have been massaged and reworked on this unique factory special. Cagiva NA owned it from 1990-2000, and sold it to one of their employees, so I am only the second owner of the bike. Heads, cams, suspension and especially the clutch have all been worked over or replaced. The carbon fibre on this is the best quality I have ever seen.

Extremely smooth and comfortable bike with gobs of power cranking through custom hyperlight Marchesini wheels, (6 1/2" rear, 4 1/2 front).

The Mini seemed so "commuter" this morning on the way to work,....
