The only car that could entice me away from my MINI...
If Renault ever lets this car make it to our shores... {drool} I would definitely have to reconsider MINI ownership.

I was living in England when the first really good looking model came out. My company car was a Renault at the time. I was so hoping when the told what make they were giving me... I needed a dream at that point in my life.

Very nice Renault. I remember the Renault spyder which was offered sans windscreen from my years in Belgium. Such a shame that many of the best European marques: Renault, Alfa Romeo, Peugeot, MG, to name a few are absent from our shores.

They have one in the old PS1 game Gran Tourismo 2. I remember it working well against the other competition.

They are in the PS2 version GT3 as well, but they are the slightly less powerful, slightly less cool cars from around 2000. I don't even think Renault is going to export these cars to Canada.

Am I the only one who thinks this, but isn't there something slightly undignified about a Lotus that has a Toyota engine in it??? That's kinda like Porshe putting in Honda motors in their boxster.

Seeing as it replaces an MG/Rover engine, and Lotus cars have had in the past: Coventry-Climax, Ford, Renault, and Isuzu engines to name a few, a Toyota Lump ain't no big deal.
Remember, Lotus has always purchased it's drivetrain components from major manufacturers.

Not exactly in the same price category as the MINI or MCS. Doesn't it cost over 20,000 English pounds ($34,000)?
