For how much fuel they'd be wasting just hovering there - I'd feel victorious just to get them to touch down and shut off that pig for a few minutes!

P.S. I bet the MINI can outhandle it on a chase

Gimmie a Chuck Norris Yamaha with the surface to air missles and I'll take out that speed trap.

They actually do use helicopters for speed traps sometimes. Ever see those white lines that run horizontally across the road. From the helicopter they time how long it takes you to get from one line to another. If they calculate you are speeding a police car on the ground pulls you over. I was told about this in drivers ed.
Scarey that they go to such great lengths to catch people speeding.

But it would be kind of scarey to be driving along and see that.

I'd say the photo is a fake. Probably made in Photoshop.

That would be my first guess too. But it is quite an image!

In the long ago past, my friend was known to fly a small Cessna airplane along a very busy interstate. He'd fly very low (legal altitude of course and stute of limitations has run out) at about 120 mph groundspeed.

One day my friend noticed that a lot of cars were suddenly slowing down as he flew over them. In a sad way my friend told me, it was kind of funny watching them slow down and move out of the passing lanes. If my friend saw some one acting really stupid and he had the time, he would do a big 360 and overfly them again.

Of course, you should never do that at home. Leave it in the hands of professionals, like my friend - hehe!

I can almost gurantee it's fake, notice right above the rotors, a line of color difference- it looks like someone changed the opacity when pasting it in...
Good work, but not tops.

That being said, it still is cool  perhaps you could find this for real in Iraq???
