Beware on fiberglass front ends.

Beware on fiberglass front ends. Mine was so misshapen that I have had to have it reworked a bunch.

It's looking better I was wondering about that fit when you first showed those pics before. What a pain in the a$$.

So I get the bloody thing fixed and then the hinge point gives out.

In sharp contrast to the quality in every other thing I ordered from Minitec the fiberglass front is garbage.

I CAN'T believe they went to fiberglass mount when they used to be metal.
there is too much stresss there and fiberglass will give no matter how thick it is.

Yes, THIN aluminum will not swivel around a threaded steel bolt without wearing down the metal.

It was not tight, as it was intended to function as a hinge. That is the real crux of the issue. It's a poor design choice. I had reinforced the other side with steel, and was intending to do the same on this side, but id broke prior to getting around to the fix.

Just happy there was no additional damage to the paint from it.

WOW, THAnks for the tip, I'll to reinforce mine.
BTW if you have not done so, you'll need to upgrade those cheap shocks that will not hold the hood up.

How difficult would it be to convert it to hinge forward?
