Dream Garage? Whats in yours?
Dream Garage? Whats in yours?
Ok so this might not be entirely MINI related but, with an unlimited bank acount what are the top 10 cars you would WANT to own? Would you fill it with exotics, luxo-wagons, trucks, or a mix of all of the above? Would there still be a MINI hidden in a corner, or would the higher end autos take over its space? Would you still feel the need to modify everything you own?
Make a list, try not to think about how many cars are on it just ramble off your top 10 picks, the results might surprise some people.
Since I asked I will start:
1)2009 Lotus Exige S240, Honda K-swaped and built
2)1968 Plymouth Road Runner, Street machine Resto Mod
3)Some sort of all custom tube frame Rock Buggy
4)Ferrari F355 hard top 6Speed NOT the F1, STOCK(maby)
5)2010 Dodge Ram 2500 4 Door with the Cummins and enough lift to fit 37's
6)R53 MINI Cooper S, Built for serious track duty, but still street legalish
7)Early 80's Morris mini, rear mounted turbo honda swap
8)Austin Martin DB9, Stock, unless the machine guns and rockets arent on the options list.
9)Peterbilt 379 with full sleeper lots of chrome and lights + matching trailer to haul my toys
10)Custom cabed Chevy DuraMax with 6 doors and a short bed, huge rubber,
and lots of lift
Let the lists continue

8) Bradley M2 IFV (for some light target practice)

1. my 2006 MCS modded to my liking
2. 1963 Mini Cooper S (Red/White)
3. The Heuliez Pregunta
4. AEV Brute Jeep Wrangler Rubicon pickup truck
5. a Tony Kanaan 7-Eleven IRL Dallara-Honda
I would feel bad having more than 5 cars. Maybe 6, if I ever needed a Subaru for family transportation.

I could honestly keep it at about 4. There are some that are nice to look at, and have good exhaust notes, but they just aren't for me. I've posted in other threads like this before, kind of lost the list, but I'm more practical in my choices than I used to be.
1. My MCS, with it's engine rebuilt.

2. Any Caterham, preferably the R500

3. An early 90's Rover Mini Sprite in stock form

4. A Cream White base Porsche 997, no turbo nonsense

man I don't even like to think about the stuff I cannot have.
For right now I'd be content with A. a garage (I have to park outside) and B. my MINI. It's been at my boyfriend's house getting the stereo installed and Sub box made for two weeks now. I get it back this weekend :D

I would make my garage to be 100% like Jay Leno's...with no changes what-so-ever.
But, if I could only hold 1 car...Astin Martin DBS or DB9...I'm not picky, I just think it's the best looking car out there.

I'm a huge car nut.. and have played this over in my head a billion times before the thread. It'd be hard to have just ten that I'd KEEP. it would almost have to be a revolving garage.. like every 2 or 3yrs you switch a couple of them around.. but anyways.. heres my eclectic idea of what I'd like. Today.

1) Spyker C8 Aileron
2) Lotus Exige S
3) Pre-06 MCS with JCW
4) Rossion Q1
5) Ferrari 458 italia (I know it's a "baby Ferrari", but I love the lines)
6) Lamborghini Murcielago 670 SV (suspected last of the SV series)
7) Aerial Atom 500
The unrealistic ones:
8) Tramontana (should google this one! A Mercedes 5.5 V12 producing 750 hp and yes it has a clutch with a 6-speed sequential shifter and only weighs ~2700lbs)
9) Pigani Zonda F

1) dark silver JCW with spoiler and the engine as powerful as can be without making the car just sit and spin its tires!
2) BRG 1972 Mini Countryman cuz I've got a Clubbie and would literally kill to have the original.
3) Lotus Esprit Turbo in officer-arrest-me-red
4) Vector W8 in black with the optional 1,000-hp engine upgrade kit
5) Land Rover Defender series III
6) 1969 Ferrari Daytona convertible in Ferrari red
7) 1992 Mercedes 500E with the engine upgraded to 400 hp and all the badges removed so nobody will know that no matter what Mercedes they have, they'll be smoked at the drag strip! In fact, an aftermarket company made converted 190 series Mercedes that could beat a Lamborghini over a 100-mile race! I wish I had never lost the magazine with that article. I think it was Sports Car Illustrated, which may have gone bankrupt.
And a car that nobody thought existed: A Renault team Williams edition Espace. If you haven't heard of it before, I'm not surprised as Renault did it just for the heck of it. They were supplying the Williams F1 team with engines at the time and someone hit upon the idea of putting on in the back of a minivan just to see how fast it could go. We're talking a 3-liter V-10 putting out 800 horsepower. Yes, eight hundred. (Well, you can never have too much can you?) Renault claimed the van should be capable of almost 180 mph!
That means it was almost as fast as the F1 car that shared its engine! And yes, the huge rear wing was needed to keep the van from lifting off!

can you get that with a Wiper Delete option
This is a fun question, which I think about often
10 cars is kind of more than I'd want, but if I have to, I think this is what it'd be: (in no particular order)
1) MINI Cooper S (R56)
-My current MINI, modded heavily of course
2) MINI Cooper S JCW GP (R53)
-Would most likely stay stock, and I would NEVER sell it
3) Mercedes E63 AMG
-For civilized daily driving
4) Porsche 997 GT3 RS
-In Signal Green w/black
5) Porsche 997 Turbo
-Would be modded heavily, stupid fast
6) Porsche Cayenne GTS
-My around town SUV
7) Range Rover Supercharged
-A true SUV, that can go off-road and look good doing it
8) Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale
-Track car
-Needs to be Nero Black w/ White stripe
9) Ferrari 430 Spider
-My weekend covertible
-Probably would be Nero Black (I have a huge thing for black Ferrari's)
10) Ferrari 458
-Just because it's the newest Ferrari, and they are ridiculously faster/better than the previous 430
-Color would be Bianco Fuji
In addition, I've always said that if I was in the position to do so I would seek the cleanest example of every BMW M car model made. I wouldn't really drive them regularly, but mainly just keep them for show. They have so much history and soul behind them.
Which also explains the reasoning behind having 3 Ferrari's and 3 Porsche's...they just have so much soul. Something the Lamborghini's lack in my opinion. (That could start a huge debate...but really nothing can beat the soul, passion, and history behind a Ferrari)
