My wife's mom is thinking about a VW toureg diesel.

Can anybody offer up advice?
Is there a website club that I can link her to so she
can read up herself?

We have a V6 Passat. We'll never have another VW again.
But I wanted to hear other people's experience and ideas.

Ummm....the Touareg only comes in a V10 for a turbo-diesel application. Your mom wants mad torque??? T1's (2004-2006 or 07) and T2's (2008-). The T2 diesels are twin turbo now. I have an 06 V8 Pkg 2. Dont go any less than a V8 and dont get an 04 or 05. They had expensive electrical probs. Here are the 2 sites to browse. I love my Touareg. www.clubtouareg.com

I know that one can tow a Sentra IT race car with the new V10 diesel at about 80mph and get over 20mpg. A buddy has one and is loving it. Doesn't sound like she's towing anything but if she were, it's a good choice.
