Sounds like it. I'd recommend starting there. The 2008 TT rules have not been published, so we won't know for awhile, but your setup sounds pretty much like mine last season and that's TTD.

Yea the 10 points for the pully hurts. I was hoping to kick some a** in TTE for awhile, but if your moving up I might as well fill that void.

You can kick butt in TTD then. I'm signed up for TTD, but I don't have a GVW yet. When I weigh it at the event, I may have to change. But maybe not.

Haven't figured out yet what to do with my shocks. I have the TSW springs with stock shocks that are worn out. I have thought about the Koni yellows but don't know if in the long run if it would be cheaper tojust get coilovers.

Check out Bilsteins. They are easier to adjust than the Konis.

Currently I'm beached in Oakland while they drop the fuel tank out of the motor coach and get it boiled in acid to get the water and rust out of it. I'm also waiting for the weather to clear over the Donner Pass so I can scoot up to Reno, pick up my mail and the trailer for the racecar which is still at BBM but ALMOST ready. We'll be at Sears Point Feb 9-10. I'm on probation for roof riding and have to go around with HPDE 4 for awhile. Hopefully I'll get at least one session in TTD for points. Must wait and see.

Nice to meet you today Jerry.
The car looks beautiful. Amazing what BBM can do for the price.
Hope to get a chance to do a track day with you one of these days.

Back atcha, John.

Come on out to a NASA event. Well run, great instructors, High Performance Driving Education and lots of good racing to watch.

There are even a few Minis that come out!

Roof riding... Is that like wing walking?

Seriously, what does that mean?

That's when you're trying to corner on the large sheet of sheet metal that's supposed to be over your head.

And you can stomp on the brakes all you want, and it still won't matter!
Car looks great, Jerry!

Right. Not much cornering gets done, though. It's more like roof surfing in a straight line . . . with sparks.

As you all know, accidents don't come out of nowhere. This particular one happened in 7B at Sears, but started back at turn two. It's too complicated to relate here, and best accompanied with simulated car noises and the zooming of hands through the air anyway. If anyone wants to know exactly what happened, there are only two people who know - Phil and me. You can find either one of us in the NASA paddock and ask.

Good news, Vince!

The rules have changed this year. #17 Replacement pulley for OEM supercharger +10 has been stricken! No points for a replacement pulley for on OEM supercharger. You CAN kick butt in TTE!

I know
Anyone that has spent that much time on the track has to get off at least once. Lord knows I have...
Worst one was low siding my NSR250 over the top of 3. 65mph into the tires that were filled full of mosquito larvae.

Oh ouch! Busted up and bitten too! #3 at Sears, I take it? Bike gets a little light there, doesn't it?

I've been off so many times and wrecked so many bikes and cars that it doesn't even bother me anymore. It's just "I wonder how much THIS is going to cost to fix?"

Sorry the wheels are on b.o. Guess I wouldn't be playing with you anyway 'cause I'm relegated to HPDE 4 for awhile.

Fun day anyway. I had a good student and am breaking in the car. Tomorrow should be even better.

Glad I came out today even if I wasn't driving. The new wheels are supposed to ship on the 18th of Feb so I should be ready to go for Thunderhill in March. You will get to school me for awhile as I will do HPDE4 for a couple of sessions then move on to TTE. Sorry they are keeping you down for now.
It was kind of wierd today I kept running into Go Kart peaple who were here to drive thier cars. I went for a ride with a friend in his 380whp subaru wrx sti. Lots of power but the MINI handles a lot better.

Jerry I clocked you in your second session at 2:01.98. In the TTD group there was a new VW r32 that was going 1:58 . Still early in shiva's shakedown so you should be improving on that.

Good luck tommorrow.
