Thunderhill and Infineon Sep 8 and Oct 6

Yesterday at Thunderhill I met Clive and his very fast Pepper White JCW MCS. We played around most of the day until my brake pad light came on and I ran out of gas. We took turns in lead-follow and had a ball harrassing Porsches and Corvettes. He's fast! We'll be taking the Clive and Jerry Show on the road again with Trackmasters at Infineon on October 8th, so come join us.

I'm still waiting to meet the MINI driver who can catch me and pass me on the track. I hear a lot of trash talk about how fast some MINIs are, but I haven't seen any proof yet. I know you're out there . . . there's always somebody faster. So come prove it.

Talk's cheap, big boy. Bring it. Maybe you and Clive can gang up and pull a plug wire when I'm not looking. Otherwise, 'scuse my dust.

I may try a set of Hankook 215/615/17 slicks; they're cheaper than the Yokohamas I'm running now. But $2,000 for the Stoptech big brake kit plus installation is not in my budget, even though shorter brake distance is like free horsepower. So no worries.

Yeah, those Hankook r compounds look like a good option, even in a 205. When I burn up these hoosiers, I think Ill grab a set. I started to get squeek in the brakes today, I must be due for pads...I would need another set of wheels before going to the Stoptechs...it keeps adding up. But maybe next year if my bonus is good.

Clive... I must have missed that MINI, or I know it by another name...

Im diggin your new logo BTW..

See you on Friday October 13th @ TH?

We need to get all the "fast" Bay Area MINI's at 1 event...It seems like only a few make it out each time...we need one event where everyone shows and we get some laptimes...

Sounds good to me. I think Thunderhill is the best venue for that and the good weather is just beginning. HOD on October 13th & 14th would be ideal.

Let's see, you, me, kmickey, apriorism, willum . . . who else? Cajolery doesn't seem to work, maybe a challenge would have more effect.

I'd love to get mikey and his little blue trailer queen to come , but he probably wouldn't do it. It would be fun watching him pull in every two laps from the back of the train to change the air pressure in his tires, though.

sorry, a little late to the party.

had great fun with Jerry this past Friday at TH... he showed me his secret line through 3, 11 and 14 so i can barely keep up with him...

will be at Infineon with TMR on Oct 6... will likely be at TH with NCRC Oct 1. hope to see more Minis out there on track. by the way, will have a new shaved set of RA-1s then... should have a couple seconds worth of advantage.
