Hi,
We got our 2002 Cooper from MINI of Mountain View, but my vote goes to East Bay MINI. They had the parts and service when we needed it. They're also a super great supporter of NorCal MINIs .

I'm up here in Portland now and I tried to get the MINI in for a check-up service, (just in case I don't have the classic Mini out of the shop in time for the MTTS road trip) the MINI dealer here in Portland told me the earliest date would be Sept 21, 2006. Two month wait !!!!

Just my two cents,
TTFN
Keith

Just ordered my 2nd MINI from East Bay they're an MSRP dealer, you have to wait to get your car, but you get to order just what you want & no dealer mark-up makes it super sweet.

Seems like East Bay & Concord are the best in N. Ca for service anyway. We ordered & bought both of ours through Niello MINI

As for their service, that's another story. Good News is that their improving daily!

Hope that helps.

I too am going to vote for staying FAR FAR away from Niello. Try East Bay and let us know what you find!

mark up = msrp + waiting time beyond 3 months as long as there is extra waiting, mark up won't go away. btw I gave Momv a try on an airbag issue, the process was pretty smooth and I'm positive they'll have my first 10k service business.

I've gotten 2 from East Bay, no regrets except for the wait times. Service has been good.

East Bay is MSRP, no dealer add ons. $1000 refundable deposit to get your production slot, refundable until the time the order is placed. Wait times for the S are usually 8-10 months. Call Eddie there. I've gotten both cars from him.

The wait has gone down at East Bay but if you want to order from them I'd hurry! Their slots for an '06 could be gone by now. Another option if you want to go down south to LA you could try either South Bay MINI or Long Beach MINI. Both are MSRP and their waits are significantly shorter than EB. Again, I'd makes some calls to see that spots are still open for the '06.

I'm rather curious if anybody has any bad experiences getting warranty work done at a dealership when they didn't buy their car there.
