Officially back in action again (cross your fingers it stays this way now ) and I am itchin to go on a run. Who is up for a late night run next Friday? I am open to suggestions.... just NEED TO DRIVE!!!!!!!!!

 

I have a few things left to do on the car, but I should be able to be there in some form.

 

sounds like me Always something that needs to be done right?

 

It drives fine, but I'm waiting on rear control arms to dial out some -camber and slop. Rear tires and brakes, brake lines, reset the alignment (that requires swaping back to stock wheels), etc.. It never ends.

 

I know that feeling.....

There are plenty of fun roads around there, but its sorta far for a night-time run. I was thinkin something on the peninsula or south bay somewhere.

 

I may be able to join up... any idea's on the location? Route? Date?

Hey Tad! Maybe we could start up in the east bay or something since you would be comin out... maybe meet in Dublin or Pleasanton or something. Anyone know some fun roads to start out on over there and work out way over to one of the bridges so we can tackle some of the hills on the peninsula?

 

Hey guys.... I can try to map a route if you tell me what time is good to start... I was thinkin 9 or 10 was a good start time.

One thing to keep in mind is that this is a holiday weekend. Many folks have other plans and/or vacations going on this weekend. Also, Friday nights are tough 'cause people are tired from the work week.

I can be there 100%, but that doesn't mean my car will be 100%. I got the brakes, lines and caliper bushings in, but still pretty soft. I suspect I'll need a master cylinder soon. I still haven't got the rear control arms in, but that's no biggie. My battery died yesterday and now I'm getting lean codes and upstream map sensor faults. I hope it is just a sensor or loose connection. Either way it is not metering the air right and the engine doesn't respond well until I throttle it.

Cool... let me know what time is good for you Tad. We can meet in the East Bay (East Bay MINI maybe?) and head over to the peninsula or city or something. Ill try to gather the Lyle and James troops for this one too.

 

just spoke w/ Steph and she isn't off until 7pm. I'll probably fly solo. I can get down to the bay by about 7-8pm. Anywhere you want to meet up is cool with me!

Ok.... closer to 8 would be better cuz traffic up from the south bay on a friday night holiday weekend sucks big fat donkey you know what

 

How about something like this:

South Bay meetup at 7:30 at the shopping center across the street from my house.... Its the rivermark shopping center at 101/Montague expressway.

Drive up to East Bay MINI and hook up with Tad and Jeremy sometime between 8:15-8:30 depending on traffic.

Find a way to hit Niles Canyon rd out through Fremont and take the dumbarton or San Mateo bridge across the bay.

Meet up with some peninsula folk over there.... JAMES... LYLE.... WHERE ARE YOU GUYS?
