Recommend a clear bra installer in the bay area??

Wondering where anyone in the bay area has gone for a clear bra install? I would like to get something done before the drive to AMVIV! Chime in if you have a recommended location or a place to stay away from. PM or post a number and contact info.

Thanks in advance for any help

Well, it's a bit out of the area, but Just Tints in Sacramento...

Just Tins
7711 Sunrise Blvd
Citrus Heights, CA 95610

Speak w/ Emil

They're one of our sponsors and they do a great job. I had my tint done with them and some other members had graphics and clear bra installed... I know it's a bit out of the way, but I thought I'd throw it out there!

Total Eclipse in San Rafael (Marin) has done fantastic work replacing the windshield and tinting several of my cars over the years - I haven't had them do the clearbra but I know that they do offer that and its the first place I'd go. They are very trustworthy and stand behind their work I know that they do clearbra & tinting for many auto dealers and have experience.

Tell Tony 'Val sent ya, maybe it will work to give you a discount

I had my clear bra installed at "A Shade Darker" in Santa Rosa. I think they did a great job. I had the bonnet, grille, mirrors, door jams, rear fenders and a little more done.

It takes a long time to do it right. It's an art.

If you are ok with waiting till you get to AMVIV, Auto Paint Guard is going to be doing installs at the Boon N Bonnet Show. Contact them to book a time.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up getting a quote from Clear Armor in San Carlos. $950! I had no idea it was this expensive. Is that the going rate?

I think back in January '04 they charged $650 for their complete install (group rate) including hood & front bumper, headlights, driving lights, mirrors, door sills, gas cap area, edge of doors, and top of the rear bumper.

I believe that they will give NorCal members a small discount.

Thanks zied. The original quote was $1100, and then he said it would be $950 with the "Mini club" discount.

I ended up going with Phil Wong at VIP in San Bruno. So far so good. They use 3M film. His price was less than half of what Clear Armor quoted me.
