Okay, but the driving school/race/party is on the 14th!

What a great birthday present. You will enjoy it!!
It's Christmas and birthday together for me (the whole trip out and back). Looking forward to seeing you there.
But DO make sure you come on the 14th instead of the 15th.

If the driving school/race/party is on the 14th, what's happening on the 13th?
<confused> the web site doesn't seem to list the days activities/time schedule.

Part of a message received last week ...

In just a few short weeks, we will be gathering at Monterey, California for the Phil Wicks Golden Jubilee activities at Laguna Seca. We are looking forward to that event!

The purpose of this e-mail is two fold. First, we are sending you information about the activities and second, we need some additional information from you!

Information about the Activities:

The host hotel for the event is the Embassy Suites on Monterey Bay. A group of rooms have been blocked at the special rate of $109 per night. The block will be held until November 13 -- so call now to make your reservation. The number is 831-393-1115. Do not let them connect you to the National reservation center. Talk to a reservation clerk at the hotel and tell them you are attending the Phil Wicks Ultimate Mini Driving Academy in order to get the special rate.

Beginning at noon on December 13 at the hotel, we will have registration open and will begin teching cars to get them ready for the next day. At 5:30 is an opening reception at the hotel.

Wednesday, December 14, will find us bright and early at the track. Lunch will be provided to the driving participants.

Wednesday evening is a gala award banquet and concert at the hotel beginning at 6:30. There is an additional cost of $40 per person for the banquet and concert. The concert will be presented by Norree Boyd and Robert Hebble who have performed internationally and throughout the United States. Norree is a cabaret, music theatre, and opera performer. Robert is a composer, arranger, organist, pianist, jazz, classical -- you name it, they have done it! They will present a special tribute to celebrate the event and the Golden Jubilee.

Looking forward to the school, but the entertainment at the banquet sounds scary.

It's what was posted above.

Tuesday - Registration, early tech, and a Welcome Reception beginning at 5:30PM

Wednesday - at the track. It's a pretty active day at the driver's school but time to hang out with spectators in between classroom time and track sessions. Lunch time parade laps for spectators and others.

Wednesday night - Award banquet and concert beginning at 6:30

Whoohoo... I think I'll be there! 12/14/05

So... buy $25 tickets at the door? Or is there another form floating out there

I might be going to this for my work, driving one of the dealership's Cooper S demo cars.

I was supposed to go to that GGC mixed BMW and MINI track day at Laguna Seca several months ago, but things didn't work out, and I found out later on that I didn't miss much, it was raining...

Oh man....what a hard day at work.

You know, I understand, for this time of year there is a certain chance of rain. It can still be great fun and is actually more of a learning experience than dry track. What dealership are you at?
