Randy Webb Bay Area Pulley Party

It seems that Mr. Webb is being asked for yet another return, and he might be able to swing something as early as Halloween. I'm planning on the 2% lightened crank pulley... If anyone is interested, it would be best to chime-in over on his forum:

It looks like Nov will be better for a few of us then... If you haven't already done so, post in Randy's forum in the link provided above. Once Randy has 5 to 7 folks committed, it will happen. It appears that we are near 5 already...

Hmmmm... very tempting! I'll have to think on it a bit.
I was planning on getting the pulley at AMVIV but if Randy's coming to town...

If you get the pulley, you will definitely want the Alta Air intake as well... a great combo.

Indeed, Randy has replaced belts when doing pulley installs, and I will have him do a belt for me as well...

I'd like to do a crank pulley. Is Randy still thinking about coming out to the bay area? I hope so!

I would like to think so... I haven't chatted with Randy in a few weeks nor seen him online in a while. If you haven't already done so, voice your interest over on his forum. He uses that as a gauge to see if there are enough folks to merit a trip. I believe we are on the cusp in that regard...

^ ^ BUMP ^^

I just posted my interest for a Bay Area PP on the Randy's forum. I'm hoping there are others in the same frame of mind.

Hi. Does Randy do other kinds of installs at these "parties"? If so, I might be interested. I'm thinking rear sway bar and ssk to start.

Randy has done both of those a Pulley Parties, but he no longer (I believe) wants to do short shift kits...

Added my name to the list of those wanting to party, pulley party that is.

I want either the Alta 15% or M7 16%. Anyone have any suggestions on which pulley to get?

SCMCS, to answer your question, my opinion is that if you are going to go with only a SC pulley (not a crank as well), I'd go with M7's 16%.

Tony,

Thanks for the feedback. Still not sure about the crank pulley. I've read the good and and the ugly about after market crank pulley's but am still open to hearing from others on doing this. So to get in on this do I need to call Randy or just post something in his PP forum?

Understand your concern or hesitancy... Yes, just chime-in over on Randy's site that you are in. He will in short time post a sign-up list with time slots...

Excellent

I just posted that I'm commited for Saturday on Randy's forum. And if there is no room I'll take Sunday morning.

Which belt you guys recommend for the 16% pulley? I put 30K + miles a year and I want to minimize any chance for belt failure.

Please keep me updated.

Have done so. I'll try giving him a call to discuss options.

Daniel, you might want to consider the JCW belt, which is a little shorter. Since I'm getting a larger crank pulley (2%), I'm sticking with the stock size belt...

If I am in town I will definitely drop by BBM that weekend (12/10, 12/11) to see how all this is accomplished. Might even take BART to get there. Go Bears.

I have also just posted on Randy's site that I'm in for a 2% crank pulley. (Although I'm still not sure if I want to go with a 2% or just an Alta lightened factory size crank pulley to match up with my existing 15% Alta pulley) Any thoughts, or has this discussion been beaten to death...

For those who have not heard... a slight change of plans. Randy is proposing that we move this up to Nov 19th and 20th. Hope this works for you all... Check-out his website to express your continued interest, or not...
