If you're in Santa Cruz at lunch time - a great place to eat:
Kelly's French Bakery
402 Ingalls St.
Santa Cruz, CA 95060
West Cliff area of Santa Cruz - going N. on Hwy 1 - left on Swift and left on Ingalls
Good food - great pasteries and bakery
Of course, if you're south of Santa Cruz, around Capitola, it has to be Gayle's!

Sounds like a fun run... too bad its on the GCM event day. If the run to Santa Cruz is moved, count me in! I just drove back from Monterey/Santa Cruz and I love those roads. Wouldn't mind learning some more or alternate routes with twsity roads! Keep me updated.
Why wait until the 25th?
Lets meet up this Saturday 8:00 am for the All British Car Show fun run.

I live in Boulder Creek and as you know, the drive from Saratoga to Boulder Creek is wonderful. But in my opinion, the drive from Boulder Creek to Santa Cruz is not very exciting (lots of traffic and congestion).
My suggestion would be to drive into Boulder Creek, down to Ben Lomond on highway 9 as originaly planned, then turn up Alba road (great paved twisty road that climbs up the side of the valley) to Empire Grade. Take Empire all the way down to Santa Cruz. This will be a beautiful drive with minimal traffic and lots of nicely paved twisties.

Sounds like a wonderful drive, Brian! Thanks for suggesting it!
Oh, and we'd love to have you join us -- in Saratog or in Boulder Creek.
I know there are a couple of parking lots in downtown Saratoga but I'm drawing a blank right now. If anyone knows specifics of one please share. Otherwise, I'll figure it out soon and post.

Another place to eat suggestion (although it's in Moss Landing) http://www.philsfishmarket.com/
As you come into downtown Saratoga (heading south on 9) there is a fair-sized parking lot on the left side of the street. You can see it in the google link below:
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=sarato...7308&t=h&hl=en
It's just under the "Big" of Big Basin Way on the map. Does that work for everyone? Then we can parade through town on our way out Highway 9.
If anyone knows the name/address of any of the shops near that lot, that might help too!

Should be a great ride.
Hi everyone,
We may join you on the run. Sounds like fun. I've met a couple of you already. Looking forward to meeting all of you  . You know, NorCal MINIs is also having a big get together in Saratoga that day. Some kind of fundraiser/walk-a-thon. We may see a lot of MINIs that morning driving around. Till then.

Looking forward to seeing you Lidia! Looks like we'll have a good-sized group.
I was going to meet up with you ...
I just got my car back from MINI Mt. View - front brakes, drivers window motor, new belt and a few other bits
Drove down 85 and took the Camden Ave exit - put on the brakes and the pedal went all the way down to the floor
Made it to my work and called Mt. View. They said to call Road Side Service.
Since I have 93k miles MINI Road Side Service wont pick it up unless I pay.
Called Mt. View and they'll send a flatbed down from a tow service in Sunnyvale to pick up the car and contacting Enterprise car rental so I can get home.
What a pain in the ****!!!
Have fun without me...
