Detailing Meetup?

Picked up an 09' Clubman recently and would like to detail the car now that the weather is nice again.

I've only done the standard wash/wax and would like to experiment with claybar to really get the car to shine. I'm in Los Altos and have a fairly large driveway as well.

Well, it was a nice day today. But I don't think it's going to really stay nice until April or so.

Sounds like fun/interesting, especially since Paddington is in some dire need of care, but this constantly changing weather has been frustrating.

Well we could always do a wash n' wax instead to keep the Minis shiny until April. Does Sunday, February 10th work for anyone?

I might be down if a few others are too. I don't want to be the only there. I don't know you.

I would be honored to meet Paddington.

Sounds like fun! I've been wanting to clay and wax the Mini. How about the first weekend in March?

Sounds good to me. I'll make a new post and cross-post to South Bay Mini Facebook group too.

Detail + Drive? Boulder creek is a beautiful route and only about ~50 miles from here.

Which day is better? Saturday or Sunday?

My vote is for Sunday around 10am perhaps?

Yeah, a drive would be nice. I'd go for Sunday. I also would prefer the drive to start as early as possible so we could soak up the sun during the drive.

I made a new thread for the event for those interested in joining. I also cross-posted to South Bay Mini Facebook group and reddit so the current count is about 6 Minis + 5 other makes. Looking forward to meeting people in person.

Tomorrow is the South Bay Mini Club's monthly motoring outing. You should come motor instead of detailing :D

Awesome and fun ride today! Thanks for organizing this, Shayan!

That ride coming home through the redwoods was insanely fun! When's the next one?!

I had also cross-posted this to the South Bay Mini club, so this was the same event. We probably met if you came to the Boulder Creek run.

Thanks to everyone who came along, it was great driving through the redwoods. I'll post something again in a month if there aren't other events. There are a lot of fun roads in the area.
