March 3rd, Sunday - Detail/Drive Local Meet
With all the Minis on the road in the area I thought it would be nice to meet some local Mini owners to detail the cars and drive them. We could meet on Sunday morning (March 3rd) to clean/detail the cars and then go for a drive Highway 9 to Boulder Creek and through the redwoods. It's a route I typically do on my road bike and it has some great winding roads, steep descents and scenic redwood trees.
I've got two hoses and a big drive way at my house (Los Altos) we could use for the detailing and washing the cars, unless someone can suggest a better location. If you're only interested in the group drive part we can regroup at a few locations.

Feel free to cross post this in other forums as well, the more the merrier. Let me know if your interested in coming and what you'll be driving. I'll be in my 2009 Mini Clubman S which will hopefully have the DoS CAI and MagnaFlow Catback exhaust installed by then.
NOTE: Please be careful on the drive and keep an eye out for cyclists on the road.

A shop vac would be great if you can bring it along. I just have the basic car washing items that I'm happy to share.
Also anyone who is interested in coming for the detailing part, please message me and I can give you the address to meet at. Otherwise we'll be meeting up with the other group for the driving part at 11:30 am at the back of Bicycle Outfitters parking lot.

I'm glad you identified the problem with the Mini before any real damage happened. Hopefully you can get the car sorted out and bring it out to the next meet. If there isn't another event next month I'd like to try a route through Calaveras Reservoir near Milpitas.

My favorite photo, but I might be a little biased. Thanks for posting them. I hope you can make it to the April 7th Calaveras run as well. I already tinted my side reflectors and will de-yolk my head lights next week so high-quality shots would be great.
