On Dec 2nd we will have our annual Toys for Tots run. This year we are trying to get all the dealers on board. Mini of Mountian View and East Bay Mini are letting us put boxes in their dealerships. I'm still waiting to hear back from Concord and SF. We will start the run at Mini of Mountian View in the morning and make a tour of the bay area on back roads picking up the toys. Cost of attending is a toy. At the end of the ride we will hand off the toys to the Marines and proceed to our Holiday Party. More info soon

 

I heard back from Concord they are going to help out . They will have some refreshments on hand. The final route will be posted Friday evening. Thats 3 out of 4. Where are you SF MINI? The Holiday Party will be at the end of the run in Concord .

 

The run will be ending around 2 PM in Concord.

We will be ending at Guadalajara Grill in Concord

(Corner of Ygnacio and Clayton Road, in the Clayton Shopping Center. You will see a BoA right on the corner and a Petes Coffee as you pull in)
I spoke to the owner and he said it would be OK if someone got there earlier and saved a parking area section)

Meetup times. Mountian View Mini LEAVE AT 945, Eastbay Mini LEAVE AT 1200, Concord Mini LEAVE AT 2pm. We take Calaveras Rd and Morgan Territory Rd. Route subject to change . I'll have maps. Bring a full tank and radios. Oh and of course Eastbay hooked us up with some raffle prizes for the party.

 

Ohoo might wanna check on Morgan Territory... its pretty bad right now... lots a potholes and not a whole lot of maintenance being done..... I know some guys on the county road crew... I'll see if I can get one of them to give a report.

 

I didn't think I was going to be able to make this one but now it looks like I can! Not the party, but the drive itself (I have to work at 2ish). This'll be my first one and I'm excited

Those wanting to group motor to MV MINI from the east bay can meet up at the Mc Donalds off of Santa Rita Rd in Pleasanton. Larry told me that he would be there between 8:00 and 8:30 so we can leave in time to hit MV
in time to start the run.

Back to the current reality. I drove Morgan Territory Rd. on the way to work today. The county has filled some of the pot holes and repaved in a couple of spots. Going down on the north side I scraped twice in the S, My Cooper clears them. I think it will be ok at a lower speed. Lots of fall colors and great views. Also anyone wanting to meet early in Pleasanton be at the McDonalds at Santa Rita and Hwy 580 at 8am or the Starbucks in Manteca at Hwy 99 and Yosemite at 715am
