Is anyone down to run Skyline Drive (HWY 35) this month on a Sunday?

Sunday May 29th, at 9:00AM

Meeting place:
Parking turn-out on Skyline Drive (HWY 35), at the intersection with HWY 92, the start of Skyline.

Norcals going on the second weekend in june. Watch out for THE MAN and his radar. Try Alpine and the other roads on the southend.

 

this is what we're going to do:

go down Skyline drive

right on Alpine

right on Pescadero

right on La Honda road (HWY 84)

left on Skyline Drive going back to 92

 

I'm in. I like skyline blvd and all its tributaries.

 

Whats with this trend of every run being early morning? :P What about us night owls who are too lazy to wake up early? I think we should have more runs noon or later, its not like the sun goes down till like 8pm :P WHOS WITH ME?! VIVA LA REVOLUTION!!!

 

Crazy day for a run.... cops are gonna be everywhere. Memorial day weekend, remember?

 

Hi, I'm new to the thread. If you guys are still planning this, I'm in! Skyline has lots of cool back roads to get lost in. Just let me know!

 

On weekends and during the summer in general it's best to head out for any drives early - when you wait the roads fill up with cyclists, motorcycles, slow moving SUVs, etc, heading out and then heading back..

Darn.. would love to do this drive, but my MCS is being serviced as we speak..

Got a loaner but it wouldn't be the same and unfair for my MCS .....

what happened to all the MINIs???

there were like 3-4 of them at the beginning of the run, in addition to an older Subaru Impreza.

Bass (Black '05 STi) and I didn't see you guys after the first turn, then we waited for at least a half hour at the park right off 35 and Alpine, we never saw anyone.

Hope all are OK.

 

You'll have to ask the Subaru Impreza about that We were all behind him and before you knew it, we didn't see you anymore. Thought we all got ditched?? We stopped accross from Alice's for a while and the Subaru went home shortly after that. We continued on. Had a real nice ride though! Hey Lyle, what happened to you??

We went down Stage Rd and stopped at Pescadero and grabbed some sandwiches and had a nice "picnic" under some trees. We continued on to HWY 1 up the coast to Half Moon Bay and did another "loop" for the fun of it. Had a real nice time. Glad to have met everyone. We'll be ready for another run. This time we will keep up

Glad to have done the run. Thx excape pod for the idea about the Fogarty winery along hwy 35. Been by there several times but that was the first time I visited there. Oh, and glad to me you two. Too bad we couldn't keep up with the Subies
