aftermarket chip for 05&06 MCSa

I'm currently testing an aftermarket chip for the automatic S. So far better performance and a small increase in mpg. From our friends in the Sierra foothills and northern Oregon. If you are thinking about a upgrade for your MCSa this chip with some intake and exhaust work will be what your looking for.

Is this an ECU chip? The only external ones I know of are unichip, and I haven't heard that any of the "ECU" upgrades don't work on MCSa. I personally have a MCSa and I'm using the MTH (ECU flash, not a chip) without any problems.

Yes its a ECU chip from Oregon. Unichip does not currently offer one mapped for the automatic. Some people have installed them anyway and have had bogging down problems, mostly due to air fuel ratios being off. This will solve them. So keep an eye on Mini Mania and Unichip for this item in the coming months.

They don't? I've had my UniChip in my '06 MCSa for over a year now with NO problems. Chad, of Detroit Tuned, mapped mine and musta done one helluva job then.

ECU chip

Interesting. Nice to know there are more options for those with auto trannys. I had my ECU tuned with the Vitessepro flash and enjoy the increased shift points.

My '03 MC CVT was the first one to get a Detroit Tuned UniChip, and it, too, has never had any problems.

This is the first one that Unichip is making that will be shipped with the MCSa mapping installed. You can get a chip and have it mapped by someone else at this time. Chad must have done a good job . I don't think I'd put one in my 03 CVT it breaks trannys on a regular basis without it.

I had my UniChip installed in my '03 MC at MOTD, in May, '05. Ryan [Ryephile] dynoed and mapped it. It was the first one to go into a Cooper with a CVT, with a catback and a cai.

Chad remapped the one I bought used for my '06 MCSa, to go with a catback, cai, and 15% pulley and it was installed last Fall.

I've had NO problems with either UniChip and owe all thanks to Chad and Ryan.
