Wow, i was working under the MINI this weekend and missed all the action, did #37 have the JCW brakes on it yet, could no tell from pics ? I know #73 has them.
Peek a boo i see JCW brakes.
Those Brembos are a purdy sight indeed! And look at the width of those tires!
The televised replay of the race is this Sunday morning (May 8th) on Fox Sports 1 @ 8:00am ET.
I watched the TV broadcast of the race. It's great seeing the MINI's on the track, but sadly they are basically a side show as you see the competitive cars passing them or avoiding them during the race! They are without doubt the best looking cars in the ST Class, but it sure would be nice to see the cars actually being "competitive"! I do believe the team has some good drivers, but they NEED MORE SPEED! Jeeeez
The Pirelli World Challenge is coming to Lime Rock Park over Memorial Day weekend. They have had to add the lower car classes to make up for the F4s not being able to make it. 2 of the classes, TC and TCA, both allow MINI JCWs and MINI Ss, respectively. However, I have not been able to find a listing of entrees. Anyone know of any MINIs that run in that series?

Looking at the manufacturer's point standings MINI is not listed. So I guess there are none running in the series. Bummer.
There will be a car corral at Watkins Glen. Tickets start at $120 and include admission, meals, and a meet and greet. If you are interested there is more information here: http://miniracefan.com/2016/05/24/ca...-watkins-glen/
I hear the new surface is really fast but the corner curbing is much harsher to encourage drivers to stay on the track.
While I would like to see the races there, it is a bit of a hike for me (more than a day trip) so it is unlikely. LRP, on the other hand, is a day trip and I might do that one. That will depend on what else is going on then.

Great day at LRP for MINIs. Turns out Coopers run in TCB and Travis Washay, Milford CT, of Indian Summer Racing won that class in his nicely prepared MINI Cooper. As much fun as it is to watch the bigger, more powerful cars race, these little car put on one heck of a show.
Maybe wet will be a good thing again this year for the JCW team now that they have real JCW brakes on the cars? That would be fitting and give the team a deserved edge! ;-)
FYI - we are having a Sebring Track Weekend in October and plans are underway to have the R53 RSR Motorsports MINI and the F56 LAP Motorsports MINI join us!!!
BTW - I still have a few $150 off discount codes for the track weekend if anyone wants to join us for HPDE as a driver! That puts the cost of 2 days on the track for just $300!!! We also have spectator/party registration information on the page too!
