Offical date is still Sunday, April 27, 2003. Meeting place will be FDR park (AKA Mohansic for those who know the area)on Taconic State Pkwy at 12pm. I WILL be mapping out the course after I come back from my MINI Sales Manager's meeting in Phoenix the end of this month. I will also be emailing anyone who left me an email address after the last meet with the map. If you weren't there and are joining us this time, please drop me an email. We had almost 50 MINI at the last gathering, I'd love to get more. Let's Motor!

BTW guys. I have no idea where this is (Taconic State Pkwy). How far is this from NJ???

 

I live in Rockland and it takes me 35 minutes to get to the Taconic Parkway. I live 20 minutes from Mahwah/Ramsey in NJ. I hope this gives you an idea.

I'd say about 15 minutes north of the GWB on the NY side...
although I haven't been there in a few years...maybe the traffic
has gotten worse????

I live literally two minutes from where we are meeting. (baldwin road) off the taconic. The taconic is 40 min north of the city, if you are fimiliar with the sprain, it turns into the taconic parkway. For you Jersey people it is about 15 min closer than bear mountain was. Mini Queen will be posting the details on this thread shorty, I am on the phone with her now. Cooper Speed, it will be great to meet a fellow "young motorer club" member in person.

Those MINIs from NJ that are going to the Spring Fling - we are meeting at the Summerfield Suites off exit 2A off of Route 24. You'll be heading WEST on Route 510 I believe also called Columbia Turnpike. As soon as you get off of Route 24, the hotel is ahead up the hill on the left. It's the big building you see on the left. Make a left into the parking light BEFORE the traffic light.

We'll be meeting at 10:30am. Try to get there a little earlier so we can leave at 10:30am. Sounds like we have a long drive!

 

I found out we do not need a permit up at the state park. Long range forecast for the 27th looks good!

The plan is to meet, to motor for about 60 miles together and then to party at the park. Email or PM miniqueen and she can send you a complete itinerary.
