MINI Drinking Club of New England?

I've seen that they have one of these over across the pond in the UK, and I'm wondering if anyone would like to start something of the like over here.

Any takers?

I think it's a great idea, Mort, but I'm in SoCal! Give it some time...folks will respond! Perhaps organizing a pub-crawl would be a good start?

Pub-Crawl

A Pub-crawl sounds like a good idea as well...hmm perhaps we will be able to pull this off after all...

If you want an authentic "crawl" to develop, gotta find a cool area with several pubs within a block or so. Crawling gets tougher as the night wears on!

It's nice to find someone on this coast who is interested. Too bad you're in NY. Hopefully, if everything works out, you'll be able to swing out for a meet though. It'll be a bit of a hike, as I'm in central Mass.

Central Mass ia only a couple of hours away! On the other hand, there is a really good brew pub in Saratoga. Aptly named Saratoga Brew Pub, it has good food, cute waitress' and I have yet to meet a beer there I didn't like!

Annother voice from NY. Just two hours south of Saratoga. My uncle lives in Saratoga and my neighbor's son is the banjoist of the McKrells (the house band at the Parting Glass in Saratoga)

The Parting Glass, a good old Irish pub...Another one of my favorites in Saratoga. Great Food and how many types of beer? 100? 200?

a cross country pub crawl would be cool! NYC to Detroit to Chicago to St. Louis to Kansas City then way out to Denver to Salt Lake to Las Vegas (maybe two days here) then a long weekend in L.A. and back again.....

I noticed the same thing over in the UK....they are also mostly younger and so are more into partying and stuff....owners here tend to be older

I would join if i was on the east coast

True, many do seem to be older, but I bet they can still toss a few back, no?

I'm in PA and wouldn't mind...but then again they might frown on a 14 year old boozer...you were saying about younger members?

Nothing wrong with being young, I'm not so old myself. 14 may be a bit young, all depends on what country you live in though, right?

I think this is a brilliant idea. Fairfield Co., Connecticut here.
